Gambling is bad.
US government should shut down all poker sites. :yup:
Gambling in America is terrible .... where's Las Vegas again?
and they call this a free country...
Absolutely horrible.
Hey Duke0102
Don't worry your government is getting as bad as ours here in Canada... trust me they will tax the clean air, then they will tax you more for the air you let out becasue it omits carbon into the air. Then you will have to pay $35 bucks every other year (see ontario's clean air tax) if you are older than 10 to get a "Clean Air" done to make sure you dont polute it with anything else (i.e Smoking). So dont fret my friend... it will come....
Iratetechie....
online gambling is prone to illegal activity. they should just allow gambling in all of the states and not just LasVegas
@iratetechie
I hear that m8. We even have to pay to get into the nations capitol (London) by car now..
Next The U.S. government is going to tell me that if I want to buy regular potato chips (instead of fat free ones) or a box of Twinkies that I should be forced to pay a special tax. (someone just whispered to me that they are discussing just that)
I agree that the government is bad yada yada but I'm all for them shutting this stuff down.
So fucking disrespectful.
I'd rather have them shut down every single stupid ass torrent site on the internet than let them fucking freeze/steal/whatever people's money on those perfectly legal (where I live) poker sites. As if I was responsible that the land of the free ain't so free after all when it comes to playing poker somewhere else than Vegas.
So please keep your retarded opinions to yourself, kthx.
You would have be the retarded one if you chose to start the gambling businesses in the USA when they know it is illegal.
It's been perfectly fine for years. I'm not going to defend the government intruding upon my life.
Wrong again, idiot. If you had any sense you would know that poker itself is legal in the USA, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 talks about depositing money to these sites:

Gambling is one of those things I could care less about. All it brings about is problems. Your throwing your money in a pot to hopefully gain while another person looses. Gambling on the net is just a bad idea. So many ways to get ripped off from so many different people. However if thats what a person wants to do I have no right to tell them otherwise.
You resort to name calling and then try to reason with someone. All that does is make people mad and not listen.
I also want to say is why don't people start doing things about the government instead of complaining all the time. Start protesting or doing whatever you legally can. If a entire nation refused to work for a few weeks because of gas prices what would happen? I'm thinking we would see lower prices or more alternative transportation ideas. People just want to complain and never do anything about it.
If only poker was gambling. Chance is only one of the many factors in poker. And we are talking about wesbites which offer pure poker, not rigged house-edge casino games (which didn't get busted, I may add).
What's your take on the 50'000 now unemployed, former poker professionals in the US alone? The pros (with their families) are forced to move to Europe because of this stupid fiasco. Please go tell them how you feel about gambling.
There is nothing constructive I could personally do about this anymore, as I am based in Northern Europe.
Jedispork.
Die.
Well I made comments about something I didn't know much about. Must be the first time that ever happened on a message board. I should also know better by now to talk about my belief in morals on a message board.
Thank you for enlightening me. It was not my intention to piss anyone off.
Good Day
Jedi, personally, I have no problem discussing morals. It's just that morals are often tied to religious values. I do not want anyone's religious values forced (legislated) on me. :D
