Wow shame there's no such thing as a VPN or apps like TOR, would be useful in a country like that..
Works fine to me. btw i use MTNL
I'm also able to access all of those without a problem using BSNL. This is what happens when people vote in the name of religion and cast, a system that gets the ministers that can't even write their names properly, Oh! India's Great. True story.
i guess its back to IRC or FTP sharing for them ... mmm the good old days
A ban meant giving business to VPN......
i have no problems using bsnl
That kind of mentality is alarming. Unfortunately, I do not believe that ANY of ourcorporationsgovernments are above that sort of thing. :(
Google'd up images, posted by medianama.com. http://www.medianama.com/wp-content/...0.35.51-AM.png does this ban is in specific region in India ? or ISP wise ? Google-news says its blocked.Quote:
MediaNama has also confirmed that the block was instituted because the Delhi High Court passed a John Doe order, allowing Reliance Big Pictures to prevent piracy of its movie Singham. Reliance Big Pictures then told ISPs to prevent the sharing of the film Singham online, because of which ISPs blocked access to filesharing sites. Details here.
Why would you hide if you have nothing to hide? I mean I understand some people in some positions are in need of extra privacy, but the regular joe would not really need this as if you do not do anything illigal, there is prolly no-one watching you. Beside that torrents, newsgroups and those blocked website all are not created for the purpose of downloading illigal stuff, but for sharing normal legal files or to discuss.
I find it a shame website like these are blocked. In general these sites are used to share normal files (mods and the likes) and not illigal stuff and some of them are really trying to keep there website clean of illigal content.
Great. Now they have to block proxies, mailproviders which allow attachments, ftp, https, bt, emule, cryptography in general and still have to use deep packet inspection. Nice move. Have fun india programmers working for oversees companies - you are out of job.
it is work for me.
Why so mad?
