Good private tracker for TV shows

I've ran into some problems with my ISP for downloading stuff from public tracker, so I've decided to download only from private trackers from now on. As I understand, unlike public trackers that I used where I could just download stuff and remove torrent, most private trackers require people to not leech. It is not a problem for me, I have 10 Mbit upstream and can share most of the day.

My main interest is TV shows and movies (dvd/br rips, not ts/screeners). I wonder, what are best private trackers for it? I've tried only Bitsoup so far, but it doesn't seem to be very active.

BitmeTV, BTN, Freshon, TVT, TV-scene

It is invite only, so now I'll need to figure out how to get invite.

there is two type of the invite for BTN.
one with application.below master users class can send and have these invites.
other is direct signup invite with out any application.only masters and above user class send these invites.they are unlimited i think.
application invite can be found easily here and there.but direct invites are little difficult now.because there not many masters on BTN.

That sounds fine to me, what do I need to do then? Is there some sort of quest I need to complete to arrive at this exciting entrance?

I dunno I gave up on trying to advance my position in the bt world about the same time that I acquired sense.

If you can't find a BTN invite/invite code, then I would say Freshon is the best alternative. Invites are relatively easy to get and they have open sign ups here. It's closed now but you can periodically check.

Of course it's invite only - that's what makes a *private* tracker private. Of course, you must have known this, so your statement serves no purpose and is clearly invite fishing. ;-)

Don't some private trackers offer open signups or open applications? Freshon and AO had open signups before, PTN had open apps and you could get invites to TL on their IRC before. But BTN is a rather top notch tracker so they wouldn't do something silly as that.

Anyways, if BTN can't be found, just go for Freshon. It's good enough.

BTN offers invites on PTP, What.CD and Bitgmer in the power user forums.

I heard it was still very hard to seed on bitmetv even with a seedbox. Plus BMTV is apparently losing the "war" against BTN...

Btw I'm happier at "lesser" places where people download stuff unpressured when they feel like it ,even if that happens to be days/weeks "late ".Weird as that apparently is.

Easier to just buy gigs I suppose.

TVStore (successor of the highly popular Bitgate) is also a reasonable choice. Lots of added-value, user-friendly features: airdates, watchlist, actors list etc.

I like tvtorrents cause it's fast and you can add favorites to your private list and it will let you know what has come out.

Since the scene is moving on from xvid to x264, do any of these trackers do re-encodes of releases back to xvid? Specifically in SD.

example: Awake.S01E01.HDTV.x264-LOL to xvid

i see that bitmeTV is best one

I think that the best one for everyday use and no need for a box is by far BTN.

BTN if you don't have a box. BTN if you do have a box. haha. Although TVTorrents.com is great too, but seeding is tougher. I'm not sure what bitmeTV offers that BTN or TVT doesn't, but it seems that it is the hardest of the three to maintain a good ratio.

Rarer TV shows that the scene don't particularly care about. It so often happens that a show/episode that isn't on the other TV trackers is almost always there in Bitmetv. How much that is worth is upto the user.

TV-Vault would probably be the place to go for the rare TV shows, or TVTorrents as a distant second. I haven't found any rare shows on BitmeTV that aren't on TVV or TVT.

All valid points, but once again you are holding up a thin paper shield of reason to the horde tramping through on the way to a higher postcount (and you thought Don Quixote was silly for tilting at windmills!).

Seems to be a new login page @ BTN. Or, they are working on the coding for BTNv2?

I can only assume that you have some program blocking something because otherwise the space to log in would be plainly visible at the bottom.

I just figured it out from the screenshot - I had to fucking scroll down. I knew it had to be something simple. ( i feel dumb!)

there's also Tv TORRENTs ro which differs from tvt.com

I just noticed the debut of a UK version of an American series that I watch and after searching in vain for it on BTN ,BMTV,TVT, FL,rutracker and SCC I found both standard and HD versions on TL and IPT .:mellow:
