Re: My posh middle class area
So how many time HAVE people barreled through that temporary barricade?

Re: My posh middle class area
I like the way they are thoughtful enough to provide an ashtray for the drug dealers.
-
Re: My posh middle class area
I second the call for an actual pic of the actual balustrade.
-
Re: My posh middle class area
Don't know why balustrade wasn't requested months ago. Would like to add to request... old picture of Dave, do some MS paint stuff to make him lean on it or at least provide source for photoshopping pleasures.
-
Re: My posh middle class area
Yeah but what if he looks normal.
I prefer the image my mind's eye currently projects. That of a gibbering Selleck.

I sort of see him as Nina's boss from Human Traffic:

As manker pointed out to me that posting pictures of a person without their consent is the lowest thing someone can do, and something he would have immediately banned me for. She would be advised to be careful, don't you think? Or is this going to be another case of the same rules not applying to mankers mates?

Exceptional people like me look perfectly normal, we're just better than the rest of you. I have yet again proven my exceptionalism this last week, which has yet again been noted by the man who continues to give me above interest rate pay rises year on year.

Re: My posh middle class area
Ummm hello manker, remember that moderation thing, the one where you have to approve posts so that they appear on the board? Well I'm playing nicely, so what's going on?

I don't have to do anything.
What's going on is that I was posting pish and didn't notice that you wanted to speak. You're just going to have to stand there with your hand raised a little longer.

What I actually said is that I thought it wasn't a huge thing but it's kind of internet sacrosanct.
You did actually post a pic of someone without their consent, twice. Once here and once on your blog. I didn't ban you when you did it here, nor did I report it.
If someone posted a pic of you without your consent, I'd consider it to be karma.

But it gives her opportunity to use any picture and just say it's Dave you linear thinker. Way to ruin the plan.

You aren't a member here anymore, so those rules don't apply. Besides, the rule only applies to humans. Double jeopardy for you, Dave. :idunno:

Re: My posh middle class area
BTW, am I the only one who saw the thread title and thought Squeams was going to finally post some nude self-shots? :(

Aw. Look who still hasn't figured out what being banned means.
Exceptional indeed

Re: My posh middle class area
More importantly: Pay rises above interest is unusual in england?
All the other girls at exceptional dave's call center must be super jealous.
-
Re: My posh middle class area
You'll all have to go with the gibbering Selleck anyway. I gave all my Dave photos to Kevin Costner who is now providing me with round-the-clock protection and balustrade surveillance.
Pics of aforementioned ironmongery to follow.

Those are the new fire safe doors the council fitted to their properties, in one fell swoop turning our block of flats into a borstal.

They're standard.
Which is handy when you consider that the interest rate in the UK has been at 0.5 percent for the last three years.

I call doors temporary barricades. Anyways, I thought you were pulling a Dave on me by using borstal, but then I looked it up and found out it was a British term so you're in the clear.

I see....thought you were referring to it looking like a temporary door someone put up after getting their door kicked down by the police in a drugs raid.

Re: My posh middle class area
In other news: the thread title makes me think of vagina each time I read it.
True Story.

Statement was inspired by the exclusion of 'on'. I read 'knock the door' and my brain autocompletes it to 'knock the door down'. Knock on the door prevents me from doing the same.

In defense of squeamous, I think most thread titles probably make you think of vagina. Also, boobs.
I said defense, but I mean to diminish credit.

Well, maybe.
But this one makes me think of some seedy, English porn where the cougar chick from Kensington would splay herself on the chez-lounge and say something like; 'come over here, Mellors, my middle class area is in need of your most ardent attention'.

That's kind of weird because every time I see the 'History Repeating' thread title I can't get the Propellerheads song out of my head, it's been driving me nuts for days (thanks Squeamous).

I understand now. Thank you for explaining your reasoning x

That depends upon whether your bush needs tending, m'lady.

I usually maintain my own garden but something that size is pretty difficult to manage alone :naughty:
