I think you've got me beat by 4-5 years. What machine did you start on, and what sorts of progs did you acquire? I had "acquired" most anything worth having for the C-64 either borrowing originals from people face-to-face in the town I lived, and on a couple BBS sites (I cannot exactly how the exchanges were made- gosh that was a looong time ago :D ) in a larger city where my step-dad lived.
One of the programs I remember most fondly was called GEOS. I found I enjoyed the copy process (which sometimes required manually changing bad blocks and sectors :01: ) more than I enjoyed most of the games. I do remember a flight simulator for the AH-64 Apache that kicked my imagination into another world very fondly, though. Good memories with such a long-obsolete computer system.

I guess we must have been too poor for a Commodore 64. I only ever recall having an Atari 2600, and I only ever remember playing E.T. on it.

Technically speaking, you could steal a Mona Lisa print.

Stealing a technically stolen item, odd but true.

Where is the disparity in that?
We made hard labor illegal years ago. In fact, most of us find even moderately sweaty labor cruel. :fear:
