Been a member there (Demonoid) since the beginning, & still use it more than most of the private trackers I'm on. I've found programs & ebooks on there I couldn't find anywhere else.

Cabalo: Torrent sites like Demonoid generally have the added bonus of user comments verifying software as working and clean plus extra troubleshooting and workarounds for problems that may occur. I don't generally see that with filehosting, though I'm sure it does exist on some level.

Nah, there's plenty of HD stuff on there, too.
I searched for "man on a ledge" for example on there.. and got poor results, like one 1080p that was 7gb or so. On other sites you'll find multiple scene releases, the full BD disc etc. And a lot of the full BDs on demonoid are external..

Search for 'ledge' in the category 'movies' and you'll get a lot more results for the same film. Fuck knows why but it is what it is.
However, I can't see too many 1080 rips. I've never found it difficult to find what I want in HD from the oid but with movies I try to use a properly private tracker instead because of industry spies. I use Demonoid as a fall back, mainly.

yes demonoid is very good.
I used to hang out at Demonoid all the time when I first got in sharing. The content is pretty good and there is a small but solid group of people on the fora that are very helpful.
I'm slowly coming back too torrents after been using filehosting sites and warez forums. Been member on Demonoid for just a small time but I already love it. IMO it's a much better site than TPB. I have found many old PC games without any issues and the speed is usually outstanding even for old torrents. Can't recommend it enough.
Something is rotten in the state of Denmark. I keep on seeing these n00b poasters in this fred and come thinking I am going to be treated to yet more spastic drivel, yet not once but twice I have been pleasantly surprised by cogent replies. Has the new captcha/ spam filter also included an I.Q. test? Or has the universe tilted on it's axis and taken on a marvelous new alignment where newbie posters are sentient beings? :blink:
