I was going to originally say "A New Hope and then stop" but I'm not evil like you,Count Dooku and the guy who first thought up the Ewoks.

Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
I agree with IdolEyes787. Just watch the old ones...

Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
It'd be interesting to get the view of someone not tainted by the original trilogy to watch in the same order as theatrical release and then get them to compare notes with someone watching in the chronological sequence. The newer movies never captured the public like the originals did, but if someone has watched them in chrono order without ever seeing the originals I'd be interested in their take on the whole series.

Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
Now that Disney owns the rights, you can be sure remakes will not be too far far away...

I guess you need to find someone very stupid with absolutely no taste if you want a differing opinion.
Seriously I couldn't tell you everything that happened in the last one because I couldn't force myself to sit through it to bitter end.
I can see Lucas siting there at a production meeting going "Hey I have this great idea how to reward the fans for sticking through this increasingly stupid dreck for the last 15 years, let's end it on a low note :)".
Then all the yes men look at each other with this blank expression until one finally says "It doesn't really matter as long as we work in some good toy tie-ins"
No offense to your scientic research or anything but fuck off.

Remember that the thread was started by dion. If there ever was an individual Jar Jar was created for...
-
Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
I suggest 1,2,3,4,5,6.
Episodes 1 and 2 are watchable. 3rd part is to childish. Story is not so god, because they just wanted to fix storyline to fit into Star Wars IV.

Sue's apparently a slut.

Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
Judging from the audience's complete lack of emotion, I'm reasonably sure that clip was shot during the time when it was medically a good practice to lobotomize housewives who were unhappy with their existences. That and the male members of the audience had actually NOT stayed away from Sue and feared getting caught.
Oh, and only communist pinkos showed emotion.

However, this is cool:

Idol was involved in a serious motorbike accident which nearly cost him a leg on 6 February 1990 at the corner of Gordon Avenue and Fountain Avenue in Hollywood.[15] He was hit by a car when he ran a stop sign while riding home from the studio one night, requiring a steel rod to be placed in his leg.[16] Shortly prior to this, film director James Cameron had chosen Idol to play the T-1000character in Terminator 2: Judgment Day and had drawn storyboards to resemble him, but the accident prevented Idol from accepting.[17]

That makes no sense as he was obviously method acting with the metal in his body.

Unfortunately, being British, he was too stiff to play liquid metal.

Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
Ignore the prequels and you can sleep at night
-
Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
456 (required) - 123 (optional)
-
Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
456 first for sure, then 123 but after 123 go and watch the Redlettermedia reviews. He breaks down why they suck very nicely.

Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
dude........who cannot watch Star Wars........
-
Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
Start from the news ones to the old ones!! Old ones better!!

Re: How should I watch Star Wars?

Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
Start with episode 4 and don't look back. I like to think episode 1-3 never existed.
-
Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
I just rewatched the whole series recently. Started with I and went to 7 with Rogue One thrown in before 4. The original series is still the only one that seems to be good to me, but I have never showed much interest in the series and liked it less watching it through again.
-
Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
Rogue one, 4-6, force awakens, 1-3 (optional or for a laugh)
-
Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
Ya, I think that you should watch them:
New Hope
Empire Stikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Rouge One
Fantom Menace
Attack of the Clones
Revenge of the Sith
The Force Awakens
-
Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
On the original Laser-disc. It's the only version Lucas couldn't re-edit.
-
Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
Star Wars, Empire, Jedi, Force Awakens, Rogue One. I prefer to watch them in the order they came out. Prefer to skip the Prequels.
-
Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
You've gotta watch them all to fully appreciate the rollercoaster ride.
-
Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
You could watch the following versions:
Episode IV
A New Hope 1997 Special Edition
Star Wars Despecialized Edition v2.7
Star Wars Silver Screen Edition v1.6
and of course the Blue ray edition
Episode V
Team Negative1's Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back Renegade Grindhouse Version 1
THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK Despecialized Edition Remastered v2.0
and of course the Blue ray edition
Episode VI
Despecialized Edition v2.5
Return of the Jedi - Grindhouse
and of course the Blue ray edition
:whistling

Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
Watch 4, 5, 6, then 3.5 (Rogue One) and the 7 (Force Awakens). Then 8 (the last Jedi). And then go find the prequels, 1,2,& 3 and burn them instead of watching them. Then you're all set.

Re: How should I watch Star Wars?
I think Topher Grace did a edit of 1,2 & 3 that's supposed to be good. It gets rid of loads of the early stuff and makes the rest much better and less kid-friendly. I think it's on youtube.
