I like http://portableapps.com/apps for various different apps. It doesn't have windows though.
I like to get software off of torrent sites--simply because there are lots of comments about quality there--as I am very concerned about getting malware. With lots of other sources like Usenet you don't get this information about quality.
What kind of software are you looking for? There are general 0-day trackers, then some more specialized ones. Are you a member on any other BT sites?
I remember seeing a lot of audio soft at town.ag but you'll have to register.
I also enjoy being able to read the comments on something if getting something from a torrent site but sometimes you can go by them either. It would be nice to be a member or have access to a site that you could see and get the stuff when it comes out.
