Actually, you're very wrong there. Downloading music is legal, uploading, however, is not.

If you are found with drugs, you can't be prosecuted. It is the supplier that has broken the law.

totally not true. both are illegal when it comes to copyrighted works.

edit - just to clear that up, using your drugs anology, you will be prosecuted for possession of drugs, although there will be harsher penalties for a supplier of drugs than a drug user.

download isn't illegal actually its when the copyright has been f*cked with is when its illegal you can rip your own Cd's they you bought to mp3 thats not illegal its sharing the copyright material that is.

yes the argument is always said that it isn't illegal unless you sell it and make money out of it but who knows really

no bill has been passed to prohibit the use of programs such as Kazaa, Kazaa++ or Grokster. although the copyright orginazations are trying hard too pass such a bill before congress.

Downloading and uploading are basically legal ...true

but if you download and upload copyrighted data it is ilegal because you violate copyright laws.

well, since Kazaa Lite is illegal, even running the program itself is illegal
therefore any action taken whilst running the program is illegal

download and uploading is fully legal, unless u are uploading © music and U are possessing illegal copies of music, NOT DOWNLOADING IT, but if u have it.
how would they nu if u downloaded it or not? tey dont care, but they do care when u have the actual pirated song for ex.

I heard about this a while ago, so the story might be distorted.

This guy murdered his wife when he found her sleeping with another man. He got away with it, because they said it was stress, and his emotions, and that it wasn't really this fault.

So, you can say:
I keep getting harrased in the streets. The only way I can relieve myself is to download music. Its my escape!
