Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
Unfortunately, sometimes these things get forgotten, go unnoticed, things come up, and we don't pay attention to life's important dates...
That said, I want to wish American Idol a happy birthday.
Quote:
American Idol is an American singing competition television series created by Simon Fuller, produced by 19 Entertainment, and distributed by FremantleMedia North America. It began airing on Fox on June 11, 2002, and ended on April 7, 2016. It started off as an addition to the Idols format based on the British series Pop Idol, and became one of the most successful shows in the history of American television. The concept of the series involves discovering recording stars from unsigned singing talents, with the winner determined by the viewers in America through telephones, Internet, and SMS text voting. Winners chosen by viewers in its fifteen seasons were Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Kris Allen, Lee DeWyze, Scotty McCreery, Phillip Phillips, Candice Glover, Caleb Johnson,Nick Fradiani, and Trent Harmon.
It may be a bit early, but the show would have gone into its 16th season had it not been canceled. Please pay homage to this show with me.
Spoiler:

Happy belated birthday, Idol. Although we have never met face to face, I do consider you a very dear friend.

Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
Thanks but in all honesty it was bad enough me whining about it without you compounding the problem by creating this thread.
If you really want to do something for me then convince the dicks who use "I only post when I have some important to say" as an excuse to never post that - newsflash, unless their names happen to be along the lines of Winston Churchill or Alexander Hamilton then they are never going to have anything "important" to say so either shut up or fuck off or better both.
Also get the Brits to stop being so cliquish unless they are High School girls in which case then it's OK and could they please post dirty pictures.
Last but not least, could you please kill this person and anyone who fervently agrees with him/her as unless the Vietnam War is still going on and Germany is still divided by a wall I'm positive that dissent has solved more problems than it's caused.

Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
Merry birthmas, Idol :) RealitY heard you like shoes, so he will send you some cement ones. The good news is that getting to the post office will take him at least two years.

Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
Did anyone bother to read the first post in this thread? :P

The odd thing is that a know for a fact I'd have little trouble getting him to revoke my current status in like about two minutes if I put the slightest effort into it.

Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
He missed a golden opportunity to give you the color of stars, but make your ranking something snarky. But we all know RealtY's as creative and witty as a hungover sloth with cerebal palsy.

Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
He could just have gone with ffs.

Honestly though I don't know who they're trying to kid because if you're on some site called SpoilerTV then your already 95% on the way to being a dick.

Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
I'm thinking we need to gather as many of us as possible and take a field trip to see who can come up with the most thoroughly offensive posts- the more bannable categories included in each, the higher the score...
-
Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
Grimbley wins by default as his mere existence is offensive although I'm pretty sure that you,Mary or the ghost of chalice could could up with something truly offensive if you tried.
Me, I'm more annoying than out and out evil.
-
Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
Wonder if Grimbley will decide I really meant that and me saying that I was only making a joke is some sort of pathetic attempt at a cover-up?
-
Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
Happy birthday, hotshot. Love you.

Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
Also, have you ever considered the possibility that the very thing you're persistently whining about is the very cause of the matter? You are quite possibly the yap supreme of this armpit of the internets. Hey, I'm not complaining, that's your job. Your obsessive desire for acceptance has destroyed this lounge.
Not moi, with my 'arbitrary' harshness. Not Mary with his incomprehensible self-absorption. Not JP and Muldstar and Benjamin with your perceived cliquishness. You. You're the Lone fucking Ranger, yapping like a spastic coyote in the wilderness. You love this. It's like watching a dying star. For about ten years.
This is what I always wanted for this lounge. Only the people who wish to speak to the other people in it bother to post anymore. Times have changed. But I still :earl: a lot. I just can't be arsed posting cos of your fucking winging, you vagina.

Considered,yes.Strongly considered,no.
Also I seriously have no "obsessive desire for acceptance". If I did then I'd attempt to be more forbearing and less opinionated in my opinionates.
What I do is simply try to get other people to post.If you think that somehow necessitates me shutting up then unless something monumentally interesting happens and I can't help myself for the next couple weeks, the floor is yours.
PS You're really shite at birthdays.
PPS Absent the monument thing happening if I post in the next two weeks then anon you may ban me.

Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
My apologies, I thought I was expected to step up to my relegated absence of morality. I was doing a turn for your birthday. Coming out of retirement, if you will.
I wish people would make up their minds. I'm still quite capable of making you cry. I had just hoped we didn't need to go there anymore.
As to encouraging people to post, I would think the term would be 'goading', which isn't likely to end well, is it?

Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
Now you've made her leave the party shedding tears and making everyone feel awkward. She's locked herself in her room, has turned Wham!'s Greatest Hits as loud as it goes on the boombox, and is furiously scribbling in her death list diary. We haven't even had cake yet...
As RealtY would say...ffs.

You see a technological miracle enabling the realization of dreams and fulfillment of responsibilities, but I think it's just a 4-door sedan. Can't a Canadian just exercise his creative mind when he's not exercising his lizard body?
Also, you'd all be halfway decent people if you paid no attention to birthdays, but since you do, even on a sarcastic level, you're only like one tenth or one quarter decent. It's like the equivalent of photo swapping captures of your mothers' vaginas, an object so treasured that you celebrate the last time (hopefully) you touched it.
I judge you all, inferions.

Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
What Chavis said.
Why would one goad others into posting.
Shirley, the point is to bully and harass so that fucktard fuck off and only the strong, or imbecilic survive.
Survival of the fattest and I can assure you I am well covered in the event of famine.
-
Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
I hereby goad yous. I goad you allllll!
Actually, you shouldn't think of Idol as a stick-poker, but a playful puppydog attempting to incite others to join in. See examples:

Also, just realized Brits are actually cats. :idunno:

I suppose it could be viewed as goading if you view the mere act of speaking to another person as attempting to goad them into a conversation.

I don't though.
I view goading other people as goading.
The mere act of speaking to another person is speaking.
I think that's pretty much self evident.

The difference between America and Canadia is that the Queen still owns Canadia.
True story.

Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
The Monarchy of Canada is at the very core of both Canada's federal structure and Westminster-style of parliamentary and constitutional democracy. The monarchy is the foundation of the executive (Queen-in-Council), legislature (Queen-in-Parliament), and judiciary (Queen-on-the-Bench) in the federal and each provincial jurisdiction. The Canadian sovereign is the personification of the Canadian state and, as a matter of constitutional law, is Canada. The current Canadian monarch, since 6 February 1952, is Queen Elizabeth II. Royal succession is determined according to common and statute law, which stipulates the throne is inherited by the sovereign's eldest living, non-Catholic child or, in the case of a childless sovereign, the nearest collateral line. As such, Elizabeth's son, Prince Charles, is heir apparent.

Re: Happy (untimely) Birthday, Idol!
It's nice to see that Canadia is just as anti catholic as the UK.
