ADOM (Ancient Domains of Mystery).
I vote for Illusion of Gaia! :)
You 2 are showing your age haha. Haven't heard of those games in many many years.
ADOM had a successful revival campaign on 2012, is actively developed again and faring pretty well on Steam.
Did not know that. I will have to look into it. Thanks.
I didn't know I was suppose to do something with your life.
In that case I hope it's not too late to push you in front of a train. :)
PS I got curious about what your Mum looks like so I looked up "whore" in the dictionary.
She quit that weeks ago. :snooty:
PS :mad3:
It was during the period that I was role playing an athlete. I believe during the the same time frame you were role playing as some sort of faerie elf hybrid.
The more things change.....
1. Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War
2. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
4. Darkest Dungeon
maybe FINAL FANTASY VI.
With me best game RPG :FINAL FANTASY VII.
Mass Effect
I would have to agree with FINAL FANTASY VII
Diablo:whistling
Final Fantasy VII - still remember grinding for 100+ hours and was enthralled.
Ff vii!
Just reinstalled Fallout 3 (with the best update visuals mods) and honestly I expected out-of-date hard-to-bear engine stuff, but I'm actually blown away by the game world all these years later. The atmosphere is the best Bethesda ever achieved. It reminds one just how watered down the very disappointing Fallout 4 is.
Put the default ENB on (for modern AA, and ambient occlusion) and the damned thing want's to steal to oppressive feel, and turn the world into a blue-sky "sound of music" experience. Year one can disable the colour 'correction' but then ENB 'mysteriously' places a series of horizontal vertical 'glitches' on the image. The glitches remain when all the ENB shader effects are disabled- very 'odd'. But I love the original Beth colour grading- so damned depressing.
Fallout 3 isn't for everyone- because of its extreme no-sh-ts-given gloom and despair. I get why some peeps' mindspace can't or won't willingly go there. But if you can handle it, nothing does the classic post nuclear apocalypse better.
For sure the role playing is clunky, and has to be mostly in the gamer's head- but Fallout 3 is one of those rare games where the pre-release promotion looked staggering good, and then the game lived up to expectations.
Sadly, as a fan of Witcher (played the first before most in the west RPG community had even heard of it), eveything shown for Cyberpunk looks plain awful- the most flat and lifeless world, with astonishing c-rate generic art design. Beth is out of the game- CDPR looks like they bit off far more than they could chew- the smaller dev teams cannot even match Fallout 3- and the larger publsihers just wanna 'dumb it down'.
I'm hoping once the next gen consoles arrive (not a console head myself, but all major game dev is now console led), Sony will move forward the state-of-the-art in computer RPG.
Diablo
Dragon Warrior(Quest) series
Warcraft.
Panzer Dragoon Saga on Sega Saturn
Final Fantasy series
Zelda
Starcraft - need an updated version
Or.. X-Com (original was the best.. latest wasn't too bad)
