I'm not even sure you can plug one. I couldn't see no place for it looking the computer from the outside. The only thing I saw was a disquette drive.

No but serious, go put Red Hat on it, its like 40 bucks at best buy, and free online last time I checked, seeing as how you dont even have a CD drive.
damn there is loads you could do with that pc. i would start a little home netowork.
i was gonna buy a pc about that spec so i could use a comand line version of linux and samba and have my own fileserver.
that is still a very reasonable machine for using as a workstation in a network as well try using win 2000 or linux on it.
Ok thanks I'll use red hat :)
You can just use it as your ONLY computer..like me :D ..cant wait to upgrade lol
or u can use it as a very big paper weight :P
yeah i would also start a little home network with it :D
my own little home network is great so far i have my computer connected to my xbox with a router :D :) :D :P
NICE!!!!! :DQuote:

Whats the point of having 2 computers networked together?
u would probably find it quite har to install without a cd drive, invest in a cheap cd rom. and my personal opinion would be to put windows 2000 pro on, as it easyer than linux, and drivers etc are easyer to get.Quote:

Yeah but why the hell would one man need 2 computers? you dont need 2 internets...and you dont need to access files on another computer..when you can have them on the one your on.
 :huh:Quote:

One for you, one for your sis and parents. You can also use the 2nd on to diagnose problems on the 1st one, as a backup computer, as a place to backup files, a server to test out router configurations etc etc.
There.
Why have a second puter?
My old 300mhz Celeron is encoding movies all the time. Takes maybe 2 days if I'm doing a 352x480 cvd.
Makes a good guinea pig. I used it to fool around with dual-booting. It now has Win98 and XP Pro on it.
Came in so late on this thread but what's the advantage of putting Redhat on it and use it as a server? I have 2 puters connected via a Linksys router. What good things would result from making the 300mhz Celeron a server in my case? Curious.
