try ending all programs except for the bare essentials
Theres something screwy that causes this, ive had it alot of times... There were some tips like open a program with the same extension (doesnt apply proly) or restart if u can.. Ill see if i can find i t, think it was in the forums
uhh i dont want..... i remember there's a program that free ups the program that you want :(
did you try deleting it in command prompt?
Code:del "c:\file.exe"
alright, this might actually work. it deletes the file when you boot up next:
MoveOnBoot
i have to do the whole damn reboot.... damn.......
Restart MS Dos mode find and delete the irritating file.
damn no 1 knows it....... i mean there's a program that free's up the file so all you have to do is just click delete.... :(
Is this reliable? Have you tried it? I will make a copy.Quote:

MoveOnBoot
i just found it from googling
Windows probably won't release it out of memory. (rebooting typically solves this problem)
But, booting into safe mode will usually allow you to delete such a file.
Otherwise a registry hack is required. This same hack is preformed by programs I believe are similar to those listed above.
Googling this problem will get you more answers though.
p.s. you've got to mention which O/S you're using when asking questions such as yours.
good luck
