Keeping The Fast User

When i am downloading a large file often i will have a user downloading at lets say 70kbs. Then automaticaly more users apper and break up the file so all the users can download chunks of it. Well the guy downloading at 70kbs isn't downloading as much anymore and when he finishes his chunk i often lose him.

Also kind of like the opposite, is there any way to drop slow users when kazaa divides the file into chuncks. I try pausing and jumping but the slow .75kb users just keep sticking around and i'm on cable. SO i guess my questions are, is there anyway to keep the fast user once i stuble upon him and is there anyway to drop a slow user once i am stuck with them?

My quetion is once i find someone who dload speed i like is there anyway to stop kazaa from breaking up the file and just let the one guy download it?

if there is a way to latch to one user, unless they are the only one sharing the file, i don't know... i don't think there is. however, this would not be in your best intrest anyways. the more sources the faster the download because they are all transfering the file to you. if you do not connect to a user again it is possible that they have turned kazaa off, or possiblly jumped supernodes.

man let people download, who knows why the other guy is slow, he could be 56k, he could be at the end of the file, etc. please don't do stuff like that, you are just hearting the network, we are here to share so share, if you wanna be like that then upload to 4 or 2 people at a time, which is not cool but go ahead, just please don't cut people off

wasn't wanting to cut poblem off from uploading. wanting to cut sources on his download in hopes of picking up a faster user.

wanted to know if there was a way to stop kazaa from taking the file he was downloading a splitting it up among differnt users. wanted to force a download form a single highspeed user.

Hate to but in you too but it doesn't really mater now does it. It could be read either way from what I can see as downloads do break up as you get more users to download from.

i'm very sorry for the confusion but i'm not very smart. I was talking about when i am downbloading a file. The file is divded up into chunks so i am downloading from multiple people. Some people are slow and i cant loose them so would like to be able to drop them and download from a faster host, is this popssible?

Secondly once i find that fast host is there a way to prevent the file from splitting so i can keep the fast host.


I know that it could have been interpreted as uploading since i cant talk or type apparently but it was ment for when i was downloading. WHen a 56ker starts a dl from me i just watch a movie or something. B)

just because your wording is a little funny....
everything you are talking about here is about stuff in the download part of the screen (top) and not the upload (lower), and your not talking about canceling the uploads from you (lower).

after u get that "fast user", goto k+++ advanced options, and change the maximum sources per file to "1".

Good tip morpheus, but even if u have slow users and a fast user it shouldnt slow the fast users speed when u have slower users as well.

no my problem is that once the file gets divided into chunks and the fast user finishes his chunk often i loose him after that. I'll try to max sources thanks.

On the same note, is there a way to shift through thew source. like a file has 30 sources for exmple and i am stcuk with 2 of them going at 1.3kbs btw my max sourrces per dload is 200. Any help is greatly appreciated.

ok now I get u bud, so just change it from 200 to 1 when u next find this fast user.

first of all changing it to one will not make it so that the higher one will be the one, second i don't belive that change even takes effect untill the new download or you start klite
