I noticed that I rarely use more then 10% of that capacity even tho I am seeding a lot of popular torrents.
And I have feeling that seedboxe's located in Netherland/Germany took a lot of bandwidth.
Is that even possible? Do seedboxes have priority over home speed connections due to usually better ping or whatsoever?
Now my ratio in HDBits droped bellow 1, and I am concerned about "fair share" rule on my 11 yrs old account there.

Torrent clients prioritize speed so whatever source in a swarm is the fastest, it's going to draw from that. Anon probably knows a lot about this and I may be misstating but I don't think there is anything that you can do about it except wait for the seedboxes to move on to the next latest thing.Quote:

My upload speed is a lot more pathetic than yours and I survive pretty well. All that matters is that you seed stuff for as long as possible. I've ended up seeding some stuff that's got barely other seeders and when they get snatched I see a good boost in ratio. Long term seeding will always show good results.

But I completely agree that the ones that are not seeded well are the ones that will reap long term benefits. Someone will always what what's available and has atleast 1 seed. That's what you will luck out.
If anything, I'm saddened that after uploading 113 copies' worth of data to other people, none of them stuck around to seed afterwards. Public torrents are not a reliable backup system :emo:Quote:
