Sure - actually partied with Cronin and Richrath back in the '70s; they used to play the state fair in my home town, like five years running.
Partied with the Talking Heads, too - Jerry Harrison was the best friend of a guy I worked with; he was from Milwaukee, we went to The Red Rooster with them on his birthday..
David Byrne didn't say a word all night, and Tina Weymouth wouldn't shut-up...
Freddie kinda deserves a category all to himself.
Ian Gillan, Ronnie Dio and Bruce Dickinson.
Also Bowie, Chris Cornell, Roger Daltrey and Seb Bach.
Jimmy Hendrix. His soulful bluesy voice matches his soulful bluesy playing.
And yes, Idol. Chris fucking Cornell. Amazing singer. I also think Layne Staley and Axl Rose deserve to be mentioned.
If Bill Gates hadn't killed Stehle, Steven Tyler would have been mentioned already...
No Steven tyler available.
Damnit.
Yes j2k4, Robert Plant deserves a huge nod as well. Along with Roger Daltrey.
And I believe Jerry Garcia needs to be mentioned as well. He might not have had the "chops" that the others had, but his singing was always fun to listen to that's for sure.
What about Thom Yorke...

Just gonna stick this in here because there are always a bunch of people who have never heard it because it was too long to get any radio play - one of my all-time faves:

Damn - I forgot about Brad Delp!

This mumbling old fool.
Is mentioning Paul McCartney and David Gates too much of a stretch?
for me Freddie Mercury is all time favourite.
FWIW, He's very much an acquired taste, but how about Geddy Lee?
That's what I thought.

I've been a Rush fan since day one...it took a while to get used to him, but.
I misunderstood
Elvis was okay.
How about Jimi Jameson?
I'm partial to Bono, Michael Stipe and Thom Yorke.
