2. import ips into shareaza's ip blocker feature
3. klite is the same as shareaza in terms of security. remember, using only the ip blocker will not save ur ass. use an ip imported firewall and if possible, a hardware firewall like a router
thanks
glad to helpQuote:

My personal experience:
Put current ip blocklist in firewall, got nasty emails.
Put current ip blocklist in K++, eMule, Shareazaa, no nasty emails.
Putting the blockist in firwalls stopped auto updates, acessing innocent web sites in browswers, and blocked other proggies on my systems that it should not have.
Just my personal experience.
imho

Look, the only truly safe way to not be caught out is to stop altogether. If you are that worried about it maybe you should just stop. If someone really wants to track you they will.
If you go into the options, there is also an option to stop other users getting a list of all your files. ;)
If you don't want to get caught letting others download from you, but still want to upload why not just share some legal programs. That way, you still contribute to the p2p world :D. Not many people have been caught on Shareaza yet. I think only two users, it's stayed under the RIAA's radar.
1. unlikely.Quote:

2. dont share illegal files you can right click in a file in the medial library and unckeck the share file button
3. probably not now that the RIAA shich uses kazaa lite to scan cant connect to big kazaa maybe there is an increase to the risk. maybe they use a stripped down kazaa client to connect to big kazaa.
BONUS:
i have NEVER got a 'screech' file with donkey, winmx, emule, shareaza ever. i HAVE with kazaa though. as all ed2k compatible clients verify the files. it can tell the difference between the original and a hacked file. the reason why it was soo successful was because of this and because it created website hash links. kazaa only recently inported suppport fot magnet: links. shareaza does almost all available hash links
Where is the IP blocker for Shareaza?Quote:

Is there a way to important a whole list of them at once because I have the K-lite list but there's hundereds of them and I don't want to import all of them one at a time?
Ediy: Nvm, I figured it out.
Edit2: wait, nope, it wont accept it.
Edit3: I found it's own list at: http://www.bluetack.co.uk/forums/ind...?showtopic=103
Try Bluetack, it has list converters and stuff http://www.bluetack.co.uk/
As for getting caught it's nice being canadian, it is not illegal to download songs only to upload them and they only bitch at you if your uploading a couple thousand songs. My isp did call to complain about all the bandwidth I'm using but I pay my $30 a month and nothing they can do about it.
Watch out though, then can kick you from their service. Check your ISPs TOS, it probably has something in it about them being able to kick you off their service. :huh:Quote:
