im curious to know if any of you have tried to commit suicide, the methods you used, the consequences you faced afterwards if any, what made you try it, and whats stopping you from trying it again.

i think thats just an opinion i see nothing wrong with this thread compared to any other, if you dont like it dont read it, there simple enough for you???
also this could be a helpful thread, maybe some people out there that are contemplating it may change their mind when they see they dont have it as bad as some people do.
I agreeQuote:

There are a lot of young minds here.
To me this is a bridge too far, taking into account some of the potential readers.
Seems like schadenfreude to me.
Very poor taste.
I've often wondered how to spell that, tho' I do say it.
yes thought about it a few times the reason why I don't??
well it would be selfish to the family and ppl that care about me only reason I stay alive
I have been so depressed for a while now
i didnt start this thread for any negative reasons, its just a curiousity. i would say though that this thread is intended for adults.
We had a thread here like this last year, or early this year, it was pulled. It wasn't deemed appropriate then, and I don't believe it is now. That is not to say you had any bad intent when starting the thread.

i still dont understand what the problem is, i mean its a serious issue but a real issue. and if someone cant handle that maybe they shouldnt enter the thread, i mean common sense would tell you by the thread name what its all about.

No shit - I am frankly stunned.
We had an age poll a while ago, around half the people replying were under 18, some as young as 12. You can't stop them reading threads.Quote:

That's an odd name you have there Mr Stunned, or is it just Frankly?
i haven't tried but who knows what the future holds
If you intended this thread to be taken seriously then you shoudn't have given it such a cursory title. Who made it official? You? What qualifies you?
What do you intend to do with the information you've extracted from people who were in varying states of depression. Do you intend to help them? If so, what qualifies you?
Or is all this just to satisfy your dubious curiosity? If so, exploit other peoples' problems elsewhere.

I agree with the you both.
well i made it official, and i qualify myself. also threads like this one can do more good than harm because like i said earlier im sure someone who thought they had a rough life will see maybe theirs isnt so bad afterall. and as i said before this is the lounge and we can post about whatever we wish, so if you dont like it dont read it thanks:)Quote:

i dont think this thread is too big a problem and unless the persaon is already not quite stable ( couldn't think of better choice of words) then this thread should do no harm.
and i have not tried it or even considered it because even if there is something bad happening i always try to be positive about it and i always hope that things will end up better than what it is now :)
see i always tell myself no matter how bad things are right now at this moment, i have been through a whole lot worse and that i will be able to handle the situation.
ooowah... :o :(
no comment... <_<
thats my best piece of advice to anyone - think positive :)
otherwise everything just seems bad and you get into a downwards spiral of depression and nothing is gonna get better because you dont believe iit will
( i think that makes sense im not too sure though)
see though what most people dont realize is that depression is a disease and can be hereditary. and if you are suicidal or have depression go get help its not good to try to face it alone.
My father went through depression but that was for different circumstances to do with business personal reasonsQuote:

I just think the hereditary thing is bullshit think about it everything is hereditary
hmm but everyone in my family is kinda negative - maybe im just special ! :D
oh and ofcourse everyone is special :)
basically I'm depressed because I have no motivation to want to do anything anymore yes out of a 4 year relationship been apart for 1 year now had a chance to take her back a 4th time but turned it down I'm in so many stages in my life and Prozac?? nah prescription drugs are Bullshit too
no actually the hereditary thing is not bullshit
me and my dad suffer from almost the same exact type of depression and we havent had the same experiences in life so.
sorry I just don;t believe in the family history crap that shrinks try to explain all life's problems for Physicaly yes things are hereditary but emotionally no wayQuote:

Bi-polar condition is a depressive type mental disease, and it can be hereditary.
