First I just find out which newsgroup has the image I want then I connect to that group and download my files.
I pay nothing extra and have always found the group I was looking for.
Download managers are useful if you want to queue a large number of files, even if you have fast broadband. Some sites will only allow you to download 2 files at a time. With a download manager you can queue them up to download whilst you sleep or are out.Quote:

Shelley you seem to gone a bit defensive ...I was'nt having a dig mate or ment to sound like i was..I was just commenting on a use for a dl manager, like multipule files.I rarly bother with warez, ftp myself mate,it is to much of a mess around with the links dieing so quick. When it is easier just to use bittorent, emule, mirc n/g etc. :)
FlashGet, no other. :01:
so what advantages does this have on the others - I'm always willing to listen and learn.Quote:

edit: and I'm very impressed with it.
my favorite one ever was simply called 'Internet Download Manager'.
I don't even know if they make it anymore.
FlashGet easily.
dont think they are updating anymore...but i've still seen it on popular download sites....Quote:
