shouldnt the molex connector for the fan have another output?
so as much as you want
EDIT: just reread your question, as many as you want becuz fans dont use up taht much power.
All of my fans go into one 5v connector.
wat's ur psu again? if it's 400 or less, i wouldn't go more than 7-8 case fans. wat hd did u get again?
yea. but u have 2 psu's clocker. so ur taking up twice as much electricity as everyone elseQuote:

clocker's a beast in messing with his air cooling. he spends so much effort to make his case sound like beehive with bees on steriods. lol. i'd just go the easy and effective way by installed a wc system. i don't get clocker sometimes.
Mr Elmo answered my question. I have 5 fans and 4 places to put them. I have plenty of molex connectors and a 500Watt PSU. I was just making sure that I could fit alot on there...Thanks! Also..I used automotive tubing to put almost ALL of my wires in...which I will put a pic of when Im done...this wont hurt my comp will it? Ex....MELT!
the tubing isn't hooked up to anything that generates heat. the wires from the psu don't heat up, it's the psu that does. so ur tubing won't melt.Quote:

well if its automotive i couldnt picture how it would melt....a car engines generate a hell of a lot more heat then your comp which has 5 fans blowing in the case
Now for mobo instalation...My case came with 4 little gold screw things coming out of the motherboard plate...do I just align those screws with the holes in the mobo...and screw them in?
yea. havn't u built pcs b4 dawg? here's a guide:Quote:

from the Lamsey's pinned thread
dotn forget the little plastic thingy...put them in b4 screwing your mobo in....but have you installed everything on the mobo yet?
What little plastic things? And no I was gona put the board in first, then install everything onto it.
put the cpu and the hsf in the mobo first, before you fit it in the case :)Quote:

edit: the plastic things are called spacers and they sit between the actual mobo and the screws, to protect the mobo from damage
bad move. put everything on b4 u lock the mobo in place.Quote:

you could still put the mobo in first, but its a pain in the ass when u installed the hsf....i did what u are doing now , putting the mobo in first, and i had to take it out just to installed the hsf ;)
i thought u were buying a new mobo and cpu and hsf? :huh:Quote:

im getting gfx card for myself, the mobo or cpu is for my sister...i am a generous brotherQuote:
im planning on upgrading my sister 1.8ghz celeron computer
Is 8X AGP alot better then 4X AGP? My friend is buying a 9800XT but just has 4X AGP..what do yall suggest or w/e...is there alot of diff?
its not that much better, i read somewhere a couple months ago that the difference is like 10fps between the two....but the technology coulda improve since i read the article so....but still, i dont think its much more then taht.
beside hes getting a fucking 9800xt, even in pci interface, itll stil handle any games at highest setting
maybe the difference in fps isnt a lot..... but its DOUBLE the bandwidth the slot has..... so yea its a lot when it comes to such a powerful card (if you're gonna push it with games like ut2k4, or something with amazing gfx)
Well I cant install my CPU or anything yet cuz i dont have any artic silver..
WILL THIS WORK?!
Can I put my mobo in...put power to it but now have ANY thing else connected just the mobo...and plug my fans into the PSU to see if it will make the fans work?
why would you want to do that?Quote:

like the other guy says, the spacers, and i figure out what gold thing u were talking about earlier, my case has them too. but you still need the spacer, shoulda came w/ case or mobo so the motherboard the doestn touch the steel/metal/allumiun w/e on the case.
To see my fans and cathode glow BLUEEE!!! duh...
my case have two uv cathode and 2 uv sensitive fans and all the cables are uv sensitive....it look so good, especially when its dark around the computer
go to circuit city or a comp store to get some artic silver, other wise, non of your stuff is lighting up today :P
Lol I know...Ok what the hell is this?! Its screwed into the bottom of my HS???
http://www.sighost.us/members/bigdawgfoxx/hs.jpg
Can I just unscrew that to get the thermal pad off so I dont have to rub it off??? is that what thats for?
the screwed on bit is not the pad, it's supposed to be there
it will most likely be made of a material with higher thermal conductivity than the material for the rest of the heatsink :)
Ok...theres a shit load of thermal paste under it (im guessing...its white paste) <_< what the hell do i do?
Oh...ok well I put it back on its all good now...How do i get the damn thermal pad on so I can put thermal Paste...cuz i need paste not the pad right?
Your cooler already has a thermal pad. You could use that until you get some Arctic silver.
Install the CPU, cooler and the RAM into the motherboard before installing the board. It's easier than after.
You say that there are 4 supports for the motherboard? I would think that there should be more than 4.

read the posts you make
read the advice
stop asking the same questions over and over and over again
*sigh*
This is going to be painful.
Have you no instruction manual for your heatsink?
It looks stock...what does AMD say to do?
You are better off assembling the whole thing outside your case, powering her up and making sure she'll POST before going to the trouble of screwing the whole thing together.
lol ok. VB the case came with 4 supports but there are more..i think i have 8 supports on there now
Can someone tell me how to get the thermal pad off seriously? I asked before but people were joking around and I didnt know if they were being serious.
If it's a ATX form factor board there should be at least 9 screw holes/standoffs...
Edit: rub the pad off with your fingernail and then finish cleaning with rubbing alcohol.
lamsey told you to rub it off with methylated spiritsQuote:
