How do I delete the registration from my PC for systemworks 2003 so I can reinstall it and let it be fresh?
why not uninstall it and then reinstall it again ?
I tried that. When i reinstalled it it sais that subsciption expired still
Try the SYMClean utility to uninstall NSW.
HERE
Scroll down and open the 'How to use the SYMClean utility'
It will walk you through the steps.
Hope this helps,
Steve
Hope that helps it's really annoying me that it won't work. If anyone else has any alternatives please post
The only other methods would be to do a manual uninstall; clean and search the registry for any keywords such and Symantec; systemworks; nortons, etc and remove them.
HERE is the manual uninstall method.
Simple really you unistall norton system works thru windows add and remove
its three programs not one symantec live update & symantec reg .also Then run a reg cleaner as well http://www.pcmedixwebs.com/regclean.htm
And reboot in between uninstall/installing again, works for me everytime and as done so in many machines.
Still didn't work I don't know why :((
Well if you have removed everything in add/remove related to Nortons or Symantec. Then you used the Symantec Clean Utility and tried the manual clean, cleaned and searched the registry (I prefer regcrawler) then the only other thing to do is live with it or do a fresh install of windows.
I have thought about doing that to. But just for that it isn't really worth it. Is it worth it to try to install Norton systemworks 2004?
My opinion:Quote:

NSW is Crap.
Just get Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition 8.0 or 8.1 and leave the rest of Norton's products alone.
Just my opinion, but as I always say: "Try them all and keep the ones that are best for you and your system" ;)
Steve
I use them all...well actually I use antivirus, utillities and cleansweep
problem resolved I had to go into the registry and delete all the symantec keys.
thanks all
