this is a release that has the updated tools and thats it. the installer is identical to the last made by paul (well almost, i added an option that lets the user decide if they want to install the hosts manager or not) and has all of the original options. theres nothing else added....no useless tools to bloat the installer to 7 megs, no name change....just the closest you can get to a new authentic kazaa lite k++.
is this version as good, and as safe to use as 2.4.3.

I think Kazaa Lite K++ 2.4.4 is the best version available but it has some little problems:
- the shortcuts on the "tools" button are not working
- k-sig is outdated (latest version is 1.2.3 Build 5)
- start menu shortcuts are a little messy (i think is better to create a "tools" folder and organize it)
With these things fixed KAZAA LITE K++ 2.4.4 will be kickin' asses :D

I downloaded 2.4.4 and it works, but when I close it out I get a .dat file on my desktop called
klextlock.dat
This file is 36 bytes. I have tried to delete it and it comes right back when I close kazaa down again.
Any ideas on how to correct this ???

its part of kl extensions. download from the link again and reinstall. then you wont see that file on your desktop again.

KLR is not faster than any other of the 2.4.x based versions, but it is overhacked, and feels unnatural, as well as loaded with extra stuff you don't need. This Lite K++ release is the finest so far. :)

Hi...I'm a new member. I was searching for an updated version of Kazaa Lite K++ as my version, 2.4.3 had a memory lean (CPU Usage 99%).
I downloaded the 2.4.4 update, and everything is fixed. Thanks dg_mortal and everyone else working on it, great job!
One quick question, I tried Kazza Lite Ressurrection 2.4.8 and didn't like it. I also see theres Kazaa Lite out there. :helpsmile: Whats the difference between these? I like your K++ editions (because of all the tools), I didn't like Ressurrection (too akward), and definetly don't like Kazaa (too much spyware).
I'll keep checking the forums for updates, again, thanks guys for all the hard work, and glad the project isn't dead!!
P.S. what is the talk about K++ not working on the new Sharman Network and KLITE will??
