I would say try another client:
azureus
a.b.c
Shadow
there are many different bittorrent clients do a search
good luck and have fun with bittorrent
I use ABC and it works nicely
also you could post this in the Bittorent section and maybe get a few more replies
Opps.. didn't tell you guys this. This problem happens on Shad0w's client and ABC and Azureth <<Dunno how to spell.
what os do you run, and it could be a conflict with your nic card, check here and see if you have dodgy driver

OS- Windows XP Pro
It's a weird problem.. bittorrent doesn't lock up... but when I click pause on shad0w and ABC, i can never resume it... <_<
Bumpy Dumpy sat on the wall...
Bumpy dumpy had a great fall :o
Some Bittorrent clients eat up a lot of RAM as they run. Maybe your client is crashing because of a shortage of RAM.Quote:

There are no programs running except bittorrent...
This is a common problem for some people, you throttle your bandwidth so much that BT will overload and bugger up. Setting connections to 40 or below will usually fix it.
Try changing the min peer connections and max connections preferences to min peer = 40 and max peer = 60.
I don't mess with the bandwidth stuff.. I just leave it at unlimited mode.
