Just you let you guys know, DC++ is amazing on a good network. I go to a college and we just set up DC++. Lets just say, there is nothing better. I average around 10-25 MEGS per second. haha, lets see anyother program get that.

1.) dc sucks b/c its only one source at a time (unless ur a selfish leecher)
2.) college internet is like wat t3 or wat?
3.) i think ur mistaking kB for mB
ya he shold have mistaken KBpS for MBpS, or maybe its just MbpS
Dc++ uses MB/s and not Mb/s, but I agree he has made a simple mistake or a gross over-exaggeration.
I'm on a college connection and if I try hard I can avarage 5MB/s, not 10-25.
Nope, I am not kidding you. I my highest download speed was 25 megs per second. I go to Case Western Reserve University and we have a gigabit network.
Aha, highest d/l! That I DO believe. Averaging that or even 10 is very hard even for a gigabit network.
Lol, it's even hard to find downloads you want fast enough fot that matter.

Bah, US ISP's suck, all I hear about them is fucking their customers by hiding download limits, and off course there's the RIAA after your ass.
As far as I've been trying DC++, I'm not at all impressed, but I should try more to be definite on that subject.

If you are on a university network...BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Someone set up a DC++ hub here at the university of cincinnati and it was busted by the university http://www.nr.uc.edu/read.asp?ID=12566
The university then got in trouble for not reporting it to the fbi...
http://www.nr.uc.edu/read.asp?ID=12719
Be careful guys...
haha, hypocritical bastards. I bet they have a nice newsgroup server running over there.
And boy did they handle that badly. All universities try to keep it in house, because if everything gets exposed the shit will literally hit the fan.
Anyway DC is one of the best networks if you're on an university connection.
LOL, imagine having OC-48(2.3GB/s), gotta love those IEEE guys and their flashy experemental technology :D .
