After reading the Oldest member thread and seeing Lamsey's post I got to thinking (s'ok, the hospital has been informed :) ) and I was wondering, a question to all you mods :)
How long were you a member before you were made or requested to be a Moderator? :)

well it took me a good couple of weeks before i had to turn them down.
Joined in February 2003, Global Moderator since July 2003 :)

I think CornerPocket was the first Mod. CP was a mod before I was a member I think. Then jetje, then El_Jefe. I definitely remember EJ before he was a mod. Back when he had that chicken for an avatar. :lol:Quote:

I was asked to be the Gameworld Moderator on.... um... I can't remember, I'm going to go with GS's date, December 29 2003. :unsure:
somewhere december 17 - 2002 we just had the 1st case of racism on the board... really one of the worst cases we have ever encountered. That week we decided to install a mod team... El Jefe, was 1st then cp and then me... .
Choice of mods was based on behaviour acting on the board :rolleyes: and geographicall location. (US - South Korea - Europe (netherlands)

I "joined" in October 2002, but I didn't bother registering until later. ;) Anyway, I haven't been a mod very long...whenever it was they asked me to be the librarian. Plus I've got the dubious honour of being the most unfriendly mod.
Edit: Maybe it's my new sig that drives them off.
