*sarcasm*
They should rot in hell! :censored:
*sarcasm*
Yes, they should be kicked off the networks, but there is no "complete" way to stop leecher's from doing what they do best ---- leech.
That's why I like Bit Torrent.
You have to at least share what you are downloading. And many trackers are very strick about sharing. If you don't share they ban you.
if only there was a way to determine who isn't sharing. . . :rolleyes:Quote:

I hate them, and if I ever saw someone leeching off me on soulseek, I'd ban them forever. On there you can tell easily if someone is a leech.
I have as much loathing for leechers as the next guy, but with the existance of privacy patches you can't always tell who is who.
Just one thought though, isn't complaing about ppl not sharing an indication that you yourself are a trader not a sharer. Sharing implies seeking nothing in return. Just something to think about. ;)
i posted a note about this a few weeks ago. I am currently sharing 423 files in my shared folder (most of which are things ive d/l from BT) and i was trying to download some disney movies but half of the people stopped sharing so i thought F*** em i share but dont download from kazaa anymore. sad isnt it  :box:
This is one of the main reasons I gave up using Kazaa Lite...
I switched over to eMule and haven't had so much of a problem since. eMule also bans known 'hash stealers' and 'aggresive clients' on a regular basis.
On top of this, my speeds are almost always maxed out.
Suggestion
--------------
I also use WinMX on a regular basis, and use a tool known as LeecHammer. I've got the settings set to anyone with 10 files or less gets 'hammered' (Can't ever download from me again) and those with 10-20 get canceled (Until they get more files). Also, it bans people who do not share and removes them from my queue automatically every 20 seconds (I've set it to this).
Why can't any other tool be made for other p2p clients??
I'll post some screenshots when I get a chance.
I Have 56k and still share all of my files....just because u dont have 56k doesnt mean u cant share and i think people that dont share since they dont help us any then they shouldnt be able to dl because what is the point of having them download if they dont share it...they rnt helping anyone but themselves which is unaccetable :ninja:
yeah i also stoped using klite , i would always have all my upload slots filled , but when i try to download something it takes ages , more sources needed , come on when theres an average of 3 to 4 million users online, got edonkey an cant complain , best p2p , for me.
This is a bad idea, becuase how do you know that someone hasn't just started using p2p and is planning on sharing everything with they're super-fast connection. You've just got rid of what could be a very good source.Quote:

Now i'm not defending leeches or anything, but I don't like this idea. You're taking a way a source, why not just stop sharing yourself?
this is why i use direct connect, you have to share, and if u fake it, they'll find you
haha! :P
On bittorrent using Shadows Client, i put my upload to dial-up then once i have the file i put it to seeder and upload till i have uploaded 2-4 copies. Would you guys seem that as not sharing even though i put it low to start with?
