Cons
Stationary.... ?
-although have seen smaller versions coming out, noisy.
I use a laptop - of course
Im a destop person,
Better specs for less, modable, upgradable, mobile if you have your own shopping cart  .
Peerzyboy :cool2:
Desktop, gaming isnt an option on laptops unless you have an Alienware or Voodoo...
Both :01:
Need my laptop because im not home often and i need my desktop to do anything else
I totally preffer Laptops but i dont have the money to buy a gaming one, so i use the always trusty Desktop and i have double the specs for half the price....
Xp 2600+
FX 5600 U
512DDR
100 Gig HDD
i cant afford a laptop :(
laptop screens r still trash! they need to work on the refresh rate!!!
i would say desk to laptops r hard to upgrade and u will get sick of the lap top lol.
just get a extunel hard drive so u can carry that to ur m8s house in sted of the laptop if thats what ur planning on doing. :)
Desktop exclusively.
@gungrave: desktops are only hard to upgrade if you don't know what you're doing. Desktops are easier (and cheaper) to upgrade than laptops
laptops cost a lot as well like £1,000 for a good one.Quote:

and u could get a super pc for that much :D
EDIT: if u got the money get both :P
Desktops have a LOT more space for storage too - you can just keep adding hard discs, can't do that with a lappy :P
I mainly use my desktop for leisure and my laptop for work at uni, although the laptop doubles up as a second home PC for when WeeMouse comes round.
I love my desktop, but laptops are cool....
I made that awesome graphics card guide on a laptop, laying on a bed at my friends house for 2 days! Couldnt sit in a chair that long, but lay...oh yah B)
Desktops, just cuz you get a better comp for cheaper, you can upgrade, and their fun to mod
Theres to much for against laptops to make them a permenant subsitute for desk tops
nope, gaming is fine on my labtop.Quote:

Remeber guys, Laptops were not intially designed to play games on, they were made for portability.

I still don't get why someone would want to make it hard for someone else to help them.
Laptops crunch when you drop them, really nicely too when you drop them from three stories up! :D
That's pretty much the first feature I look for when purchasing a new electronic device...the "crunchability".Quote:

I've found my PC works much faster when I use power also!
Tell me...gas or coal?

this isnt the newb questions thread, clocker!
I miss having a desktop at school but I'm very pleased with my laptop. Now having an awesome desktop to play with and an ulta-portable laptop is ideal. Then maybe a super powerful laptop for LAN parties and other places where portability + power is an issue. Of course then there's also money...but I digress.
