Does Browsing Slow Dl Speed?

when i'm dling something, and then i pop up myie2 (my browser, or in ur case, opera or ie), and do stuff, does it slow BT dl speed? cuz sometimes for me it does, and sometimes it makes the speed go faster. weird :wacko:

anyone have any professional opinions on this?

i have comcast cable by the way

hmmm, well it will cause your download to slow somewhat, as you are using some of the bandwidth to surf ect, but not by much may 10kb or so

what if say ur not using all ur bandwidth, like 30 or 40kb/s on a cable connection

it regular cable. rite now it's 1.5 megabits/s. before i put my router in, it was 2.6 megabits/s

You shouldn't be having problems, but if you do, use NetLimiter.

how does that help? i know what it is, but how does that make my dl speeds faster?

Put a 10K limit or something on MyIE2.

I really wouldn't think it would matter all too much. I guess if you're going to sites that have flash, shockwave, alot of pictures or just extra things you need to download than that could be it. But like you said, if you're cruising on BT using 30-40KBs I can't imagine there should be an impact :fugley:
