Well I can connect and do a search, but it says that there is only 1 user, most likely it is me. What do I need to cahnge to be actually "connected"?

suggest a firewall is your problem , are you behind one , eg school or uni or personel
there are a few topics posted about this check the software section
You're probably being a supernode.
Go to your options in k-lite and untick "force being a supernode".
This should solve your problem :)
You were right, I was a supernode. But when I unchecked it, I can't connect anymore. It just sits there, most likely because of a firewall. Please help if it's possible.

THE STRANGE THING IS I ALREADY HAVE QUEUED ITEMS AND IT STILL CONNECTS TO OTHER USERS BUT THEN IT SAYS MORE SOURCES NEEDED?

ive been using it for about six months with no problems but suddenly it stopped working

what is your os??
where are you??(home school, etc.)
how do you connect to the net?? (network, router, etc.)

im at uni but have had no problems previously.
and its a network connection
os= operating system(windows, linux, etc.)
most likely its your network connections and the admin firewall at school, its probebly been changed.
try connection to supernodes on port 80

just had a look at the supernodes because there are a fair few suggestions for this
my ip address is zero.
i know my ip and port but when i enter it im either online but on my own or ij just says 'connecting'
then resets back to zeeros

Haxor, I went to your site about how to forward my IP address. I downloaded KaNat and this might be the answer. But it won't detect a LAN IP.And just to let you know my Kazaa port is 1215.

Pick a number from 8500 to 65000 and chances are it'll work.

Do i need a SOCKS5 proxy server to connect? If I do what should I use? And KaNat is still not detecting a LAN IP. This must be because K++ is still not connecting. Am I correct in assuming this? It also is saying tha tmy currect Kazaa IP is 0.0.0.0
I suggest trying OTHER file-sharing programs such as BitTorrent (Shadow's experimental BitTornado is worth a try!), or Shareaza/BearShare (latest BearShares are implimenting encryption designed to thwart simple man-in-middle attacks) -- which are on the Gnutella network.
If NONE of those work -- even on non-standard ip ports, chances are your UNI is blocking datapackets themselves and there is next to nothing you can do except complain.
did you ever try to connect to supernodes on port 80??
Switeck - I am also using ARES and I can run everything on it.
Musleman - Everytime that I look for supernodes on port 80, there are none.

Port 80 is reserved for HTTP connections.
thats why i suggested to use supernodes on port 80 :lol:
I open Kazaa Supernodes, then I hol in Shift and click "check". Then I type in 80 and click OK. And since I don't have a LAN IP from KaNat it says that my IP is all zero's. I don't know what else to do. Maybe I'm a lost cause.
then perhaps you should try somthing else boss :(
