I wouldnt be able to download things fast enough! :D
how many GBs are in 1 TB?
1TB is really 850+ gigs only if i remember correctly.. since it loses some gb after installation of the drive(?)
1000, actually might be 1024, but definately 1000 or 1024. either way thats HUGE! ive got nothing to fill my 40gb with :lol:Quote:

i have a 60 gb and 160gb hard drive and I cannot fill it up no matter what i get! So i will proberly never need 1 TB
I could fill it within 1000 daysish probably, i would need 3-4 apps running at the same time. But i would be keeping every film i d/led a bit pointless really.
Its still very big. 100gb would probably do me.
On avarage a day i do 3Gb download and about 2gb upload, i could fill that in about 500days, lets see what do i like better:
1TB!
20GB (my hard drive  )
:)
Don't ever say never. I'll wait to see what the future holds. :)Quote:

I fill my 80 gig up every 2-3 weeks. Usually less.
Shoot, when I recently formatted my hdd, I filled up about 25 gigs in just a few hours. And that was just for my games.

get this hard drive then :P
Well I currently have a 160GB HDD and I have 1.75GB left, AND it's not full of crap either. I'm thinking of getting the 500GB 'Big Disk' from Lacie UK. I saw it in this month's PC Format (UK) for £450.

;) I need around 450 GB maybe a little more for all my Music. So a 500 GB or 1TB would be nice. But neither of them are coming down in Price anytime soon. The best deal right now is 200GBs.You can get them for around $100 now.
I'm going to get one of those JUST for the Longhorn's SWAP file...
:)
I'm waiting for 4th gen to display his huge amount of disk space.
450 GB :o how could you have so much music. I have about 1 gb of music and most of that i dont listen too...Quote:

doesnt having a big hard drive full of stuff slow down a bit?
cos when i filled my main hard drive my pc was slow like hell
not that i know of. It still goes at the same rpm and the only way your pc can get slower is by having more programs open at once. But the hard drive can get filled with spyware adware etc and over time files get corrupt anyways :PQuote:

no its just people that are dumb at computers that say that. they install all sorts of crap which will make the comp have a lot of program at startup making it really slow. theyll have about 25 icons in their system tray, versus my 2 <_< :lol:Quote:

but on a hard drive with music, movies etc you probably wont notice it being slow, but if it is it's probably becuase it needs to be defragmented.
A defrag every week will keep your hard drive nice and fast. :)
