Don't you think that a scare like this so early might help keep the child on the straight and narrow in the future ?...as opposed to growing up thinking that they can get away with anything.

Of course, being an Arabic/Islamic methodology, it is probably superior to ours, eh?
No stigma in being one-handed, right?
Oops, I forgot it's a girl so they would have stoned her to death.
He didn't have to do such a crazy thing like that. :PQuote:
"He put one handcuff on me really tight," she said Thursday. In the patrol car, "He just stared at me in the mirror."
If it scares her out of doing it again, then why not?Quote:

I deal with a lot of children and you would be amazed to see how many parents are unwilling to discipline their children. It seems that this external discipline is all that some get. Hopefully she got her ass scared straight. I like the over-the-top rearview mirror stare-down.
Many parents "negotiate" with the kids to get them to behave, or rather the other way around. No wonder the world is so full of lawyers, these people have been practicing their whole lives.
I was never spanked, but lines were drawn and the lines did not move and there was no negotiation.
The one time I was "jailed" I realized I never wanted to go back.
It was an excellent scare for me.

i do realise that it depends on which state you live, but in california they give the kids the number for social services and make it hard for parents to dicipline their children.
in some ways i agree with the policy, there is a fine line between punishment and abuse, but it does make some parents worry and possibly over cautious.
It's the rabbit I feel sorry for. Nobody cares about rabbits anymore... :(
yah i thought that was the most strange thing about the whole story!!?Quote:
