Nope.
well..it is possible..but not with the N64, you need the project 64 online emulator:

i tried playing goldeneye, it was extremely laggy..but i only tried once..and the other guy had a 56k. so that may be why, but hardly anybody plays that one, or if i create, nobody joins.
games that are most commonly played are mariokart 64 and super smash bros.
and uh..you need the roms..to play..maybe you already knew that, im just making sure.
Ahh jeez now i cant find a rom for goldeneye :frusty:
wow this site is kickass!!
i found this site in the verified hashes area.
anyways, they have goldeneye:

If you have a legal version of Half-Life, somebody started making a Goldeneye mod but I don't think they ever finished it. You can get the beta version here, though I don't know if you'd be able to find anyone to play with...

but also you need nemu 64 to play this baby online as project 64 does not support online.. plus you will find not many ppl play online so i don't think you will be able to find a server.
But good luck ;)
Project 64k, my friend...
And i've found some of my friends, and some kids off irc that want to play, so i'm going to bust out the game soon, so i'll give the details of it after.
.....now if i could only get the controls to run smoother .....
Well for now I'm not going to try it, for i cant get the controls right at all. Everything in the game runs fine, yet because of the keyboard+mouse, it plays like ass :(
Thats why its best to play it on the console....
Yet theres no online on the console.....
Then dont play online.
i had my settings for the controller set up quite nicely, it was just like back in the day when we didnt use mouses to look around in FPS, but i lost my configuration and im too lazy to set up the controls again.
ya, i remember i had perfect dark a while ago on an emulator, and the controls were fine, just i cant get this so that its playable :(
Why not just use a gamepad ? I've got my Wingman setup just like the real '64, except for the L button. Works great.
Speaking of Perfect Dark....what the hell happened to the sequel that Rare was producing? :huh:Quote:

Well, the last date I saw was "late 2005" - and that was last year, before they defected to Microshit ( F*ckin traitor asswipes  ), so don't hold yer breath - either in limbo or gone, I'm afraid.

Yes, they betrayed gamers because Nintendo sold them.

I know, I know...
[grumble mode] But I can't blame Ninty, can I ? Those Brits are just an easy target [/grumble mode]
You could always connect your N64 controller to your PC...

fred devliegher : i was thinking of getting a gamepad. How do they work with other games, as in like UT2k4, and other games like that? Are most games compatible with gamepads?
Nightwolf : I've always wanted one of those. Found a REALLY cheap, and somewhat ghetto  version of it for like $13, so I'm thinking of that also...
gamepads just simply don't work on FPS full stop................................
mouse/keyboard are the ultimate setup for it!
WASD and mouse beat any pad hands-down for FPS's. If you're planning on just playing UT2004, don't bother.Quote:

If racing is your thing, get a wheel. Expensive but oh so nice.
If it's flight sims, get a stick.
For everything else, or if you're on a low budget, get a pad. A decent one will set you back $20, the dual-analog cordless variety three times as much. They work with nearly all recent games (check the specs or the back of the box to be sure), a lot of oldies and emulators, but don't try to mix a USB pad with DOS games. One stick and 8-10 buttons should be enough.
I'm using the cheap-ass Logitech Wingman Action Pad, and so far it's worked fine for me.
about perfect dark, i remember reading something about they are planning to release the sequal after halo 2 has came and gone...
I agree that it's much easier to use the mouse for aiming/looking, but I just can't stand using the keyboard to move. My fingers get all cramped up. So I hold my Gravis gamepad on my lap and use the analog stick with my left thumb to move, while using the mouse to aim and shoot. Works great (for me at least).
