take the power cable with you when you leave your room!
failing that install some soft that blocks pr0n sites. like Net Nanny. hope this helps.

If he's using IE you can block those sites(assuming you have the addresses) in the "security" settings.
(click tools>internet options>security>restricted sites icon>sites and add web addresses)
hmmm...how many porn sites is there. im guessing about 5Quote:

how long will that take :D
theres bout a million and i dnt know the addresses to all of them no cant i put like a administars block on adult content or soemthning?
nope. you have to install some filtering program. even if you did manage to block all of the pr0n sites you know he uses then I'd wager he'll find some more.
having said that and bearing in mind myself at that age I still think the only 100% way is to hide the power cable B)

Have you tried ZoneAlarm Pro with Web Filtering, I believe it does a decent job and you can password protect the program so he cannot access it.Quote:

;) After you clean everything up start pointing him to some good free sites where he can Jerk in Peace.
And I am not being an asshole by saying that.He is 14.Might as well tell him it is ok.He will be doing it the rest of his Life. :D
dont know how you connect, but some routers will let you block keywords at the source, and send a log to you with the details of it mine is a Netgear 814, never tried it but its supposed to be good
use this proxy it blocks porn sites:
proxy1.emirates.net.ae:8080
give your self a administrator password and give you brother a restricted user password. and using ur admin password u can change the internet privacy, content and security settings. this will make it more difficult for ur bro to serf the net.
;) Now look.I am not saying he is not being a good older Brother by what he is doing. He is just watching out.
But if this kid can not get his Porn at home where do you think he is going to go?He is going to go to a neighbors house and be jerking off on their PC....useing their Mouse and lord knows what else.
I am just saying that they need to come to some sort of an agreement.
beat him like hell so he wont see it again

Disable cookies for the search engine. Then it will go back to default filtering and block most of the porn pics.
If you are using Internet Explorer you can try the Content Advisor.
Stupid question.
Have you told him about the trouble these dialers can bring?
I mean, he ain't a wee kiddie, I'm sure that if you'd tell him, he'd learn to avoid shit like that.
Also, with things like Spybot and spywareblaster you can immunize your system so the dialers don't get in.
Zonealarm with web filtering does the job well ;)
Tell him to use Google Image Search instead of porn sites.
No dialers here :D
Are you talking about dialers from ActiveX install prompts i.e:Quote:

1. It ain't me, it's a n00b, my system is fully secured against bad active x content and similar, as so far as it can anyway.
2. it's possible to block bad products only(stuff that's in their database anyway), if one for some reason should want to receive some but not all of the stuff, with the software I recommended you can set up loads of extra stuff.
Thanks everyone im trying al the ways i can i thnk best way is if i set him up a limited user account
Thats prob. the best/easiest. Just make a basic xp account that cant do all this chit. Then put a pass the kid'll never guess on yoursQuote:

The software has all sort of content filtering goodies that can be applied on a "per user" basis.
It is a drag on system resources but it does it's job rather well. You can configure it's "parental control" features as you wish. I use the same features to prevent my boy from accessing such malicsious content.
