Would you depart some of your hard earned cash to
buy, say, a T-Shirt, or a Mug etc, if it was available and it would support the Forums?

I think the forum is important enough to me to make a contribution. If it means I get a t shirt or mug as well, then great. :lol:

Our board name was changed to that by 7thElement. :angry:
Perhaps we could come up with a new name, think of something that reflects the nature of the board and its members but retains our p2p roots.....

Anyone could design anything and get their usual zazzle commissions (inc if they design stuff for the boards Gallery), however if they go via this board to buy anything (Not just the stuff in our Gallery, but anything on offer @ Zazzle) then there is an additional commision the board could grab.
Its not a lot, however if the members that already use zazzle and those that dont know about the company check it out through the board, then there could be a small but steady income.
Its a thought, nothing more at the moment.

I think this Poll is just a simple query if ppl would be interested of merchandise
and to talk all other possible options there might be, for raising funds and having fun.
And who knows what other crazy ideas pop in here.

If you are going to sell t-shirts with "File Sharing Talk" written on them, then I think it may be good marketing to offer these as a free gift...........

Nobody said the t-shirts would be designed with foot high letters announcing "I use an internet forum"! I sure someone would come up with tasteful and "non-geek" designs.

We have the wrong name for that sort of thing, hell the name would start and end under each armpit.
A thread with some design ideas may be a good idea.
The artistic chaps could get the old flair going again.
Perhaps the mods could discuss a pinned topic, something like "Designs for Logo(s)for Board Merchandise"
I designed and bought a Tee Shirt for the Glasgow Pub Crawl.
Mathea may be able to model it for us, as she is now the proud owner of same.
The Merchandise is customisable, so people could change the Nick etc.. or the basic message.
Im crap at such things too.... Im sure some of our members could do much better ;)

It can be anything... Humour etc... anything the members want. (as long as it is within the restrictions placed on products by Zazzle... eg No pr0n, Racism etc )

Im a crap designer, i admit.
Im also aware that we have quite a bit of talent amongst the members.
I'd be very interested in seeing what they produce, not only in "Board" merchandise, but for their own amusement. I certainly will buy Tee Shirts/Mugs etc that i find are funny, irrespective if they have a board "Logo" on them :)

We used to do that quite often.
I would definately buy a large mug with the old logo on it since it seems these things do not need to be produced in masse.
The new logo is not t-shirt material and I agree with the suggestion of the complimentary glasses if used :lol:
Could you imagine what it would say if a quality logo was produced and thousands of people were wearing them around? :D
