I'm not gonna vote 'cos I don't read pinned topics (I suffer from PTB).
Fair enough, it's not a problem. I thought people were amused, obviously not.
I dont really mind either way, some I look at, some I don't.......
whatever........I am in lethargic mood....
I enjoy looking at them, always worth a chuckle. I think certain people should just STFU...they complain that "the lounge is such a terrible place" and then when someone brings something positive to the lounge they complain some more...
A pinned topic is a horrible idea. :(
erm loser ^^^^^^^^^^
yeah pinned topic good idea
Awwww...still can't get over the fact that no-one likes you?Quote:

Hey mod who made the poll, sorry if u were in a rush, but this poll required meticulous planning on sensual's part.
first of all you changed the wording
second of all it says 'bar stewart'
now stewart is quite a strange nice chap, but now you're just degrading him
I did not mean to say "stop J'Pol"..........Quote:

I am actually very amused by most of them............
It is just you start a new topic for each one.................
And it mostly comes in floods......
Yogi
I say we keep it how it is but fst sponsor JP for apple night :01:
Thanks, Kab.........Quote:

I allways check out J'pol's links because they are worth it
however I'm to lazy to sort out the firefox plugins so I daon't get to see many of them
@ sensi - yes they do come in droves maybe we should create a new collective noun for J'pols threads
@ w/cheese - nah I never read the pinned things either
Oh hell, j'pol is a real fart smeller.....errr....real smart feller...yeah, that's it!! Give him his own forum. Call it the witless...errr....witty ...yeah, witty.....The Witty Lounge or some such. He'll be flattered and maybe stay there a day or 3 and let zedaxax post 20 more threads or so. WHat the hell, give zedaxax his own forum and call it 'Spam's Bar & Grill-HOme of random threads!'
Actually j'pol I like yer stuff. Kinda witty in a nonsensical, whimsical way. As for zeda....I think he's lost in his own mind which is to strange a place to contemplate.....
This poll makes no sense, there is no option to keep things the way they are.
thats what happens anyway thoughQuote:

Funneh how it is.
Its easier to whinge about the threads than make one yourself.
:)
But I have to say also, i dont have a problem with J'Pols threads, at all.
:cool2:
I said to pin it thinking it would make them easier to find. Now I say don't pin it. I think it would be more difficult (or at least frustrating) finding the page I want within the thread.
Keep 'em up JP.
TD
I only ever read threads made by 3 of the members here in the lounge, one of them is J'pol. :)
Pity he took this topic the wrong way.........Quote:

He is so sensitive
I choose #2 why the fuck should he have a section
I agree with the half wit.
A Poll about somebody else's posting habits should have had an option to allow the person to continue doing what they were already doing. Some people may have had no problem with it.
The Poll was badly worded and mildly offensive in my opinion and I am a tad upset that a Mod thought it fair to post it in those words. Particularly as no-one discussed it with me, the subject of the Poll.
Stopping doing it isn't a problem, done and done. However the method of achieving that was a wee bit harsh in my view. I can think of several other people who would be up in arms had such a thing been done. Oh the injustice of it all.
Hi Ho.
PS No hard feeling from me to anyone involved, we are all just expressing our opinions. We disagree, take action and move on. Fan-tastic.
As stated before: SOOOO Sensitive!!!!!! :rolleyes:Quote:

It was meant as a light-hearted reaction on those FAN-TAS-TIC page1-fillers of
mr. POL........
Nothing more, nothing less..... :P
My options for the poll were somewhat deliterated, but who cares??? :01:
And at your age, mr. Paul, why the long toe's???? :(
You made your grades here for ages now; why care about a pothead like me????
Or anyone else for that matter???
If you really make a change based on a few critical notes on your behaviour here,
i feel sorry................ :(
I truly hope at your age i will have some more peace........ :01:
Peace,

I have plenty of peace mate, or more importantly contentment.
Like I said, no hard feelings all is cool here mate. We all have different opinions and are entitled to express them. It is how we deal with those we disagree with that matters.
I respect your opinion mate, I just didn't like the options. We have had our differences in the past and will do again I am sure. However we are cool on this.
Peas.
The funny stuff forum is there for a reason...
For the "funny" people? :unsure:Quote:

Really, what would that be.Quote:

The funny stuff forum is there for a reason...
The bulk of the things I used to post weren't funny, at least not in that way.
It was things like games, quizzes, peculiar or weird websites, videos and flash files.
Some of it may have been considered funny, however that is very much a subjective test, what is funny to one person may be pathetic or offensive to another.
I choose to post them in The Lounge because that is for anything. Would I post games in the "funny" section, or quizzes.
The real problem for me is the wording of the Poll. For two reasons :
Firstly there was no option to leave things the way they were. Perhaps the Mod did not consider that an option (which sends a message to those who read the Poll including me).
Secondly The options were 1, J'Pol is a spammer (implying that people didn't want to read the stuff) 2, I Wouldn't read the stuff (as at 1) 3, Who ?
So not a lot of choice there.
Like I said it is mildly offensive and was posted without any discussion with me. I think others may have taken exception to this.
However I am serious when I say no hard feelings for anyone. It is just people expressing an opinion, about something which is quite frankly trivial. It is just as easy for me not to bother and post them at the other site as indicated earlier. I have agreed this with With. I am sure he will tell me if it becomes a problem.
Cheers
The question was:
"Should J'Pol have a pinned thread?"
not
"Should J'Pol stop posting?"
I gave the poll btw, my apologies if its been taken the wrong way...
I read the stuff posted, in fact some of them i spend inordinate amounts of time playing or failing at
I assumed J'Pol and everyone else, would take the Poll as humerous.... Hindsight is such a wonderful thing :frusty:
RF
Like I have been saying, no hard feeling to anyone. It's no big deal.
The problem wasn't the question, it was the options for answers. In fact when you look at it there weren't any actual options (see my last).
I like to think of you as a mate, I sincerely trust this trivial matter will not change that. It certainly won't for me.
It certainly changed nowt for me.Quote:

But as to the options..
Option 2:
Well, i tend not to read threads over a couple of pages unless i have to... and yours would take off big time. I'd miss out... so it was a vote to keep things as they are: which is what i voted for btw
I shoulda copy/pasted the original options...but the board was playing up and i was in a hurry...so i have to apologise to the thread starter and everyone else too, not just your good self.
Edit: Actually, i may have voted Option 3 for a laugh...but i cant remember
 ;) :( <_< :lol:Quote:

I don't see what the drama is...
some peeps like the links some don't.....
the poll seems to be a thing of humour not designed to upset anyone.. and yet....
we all know that polls here don't always offer the full range of options and shouldn't be taken seriously... this is the lounge after all
J'Pol, I'm not sure why you have decided to take you link posts to another smaller forum, it's not what I would have expected from you...
Sorry if this comes across as harsh, it's not intended as such.Quote:

J'Pol, I'm not sure why you have decided to take you link posts to another smaller forum, it's not what I would have expected from you...
However I really and truly have no interest in what you would have expected of me. You have your ways and I have mine, the fact that we are so different is, I am sure, a source of joy to both of us.
There are people whose opinions I value, you aren't one of them. I am entirely sure that the situation is exactly the same for you, if not more so. I have read your forum often and have seen what people think of me. It really is not a problem, in fact I am vain enough to enjoy the attention.
Please continue to enjoy yourself using me as a figure of scorn and ridicule. It means that you are not doing it to someone else.
:)
I couldn't agree more ;)Quote:

Spot on J'Pol, and still don't get how the mods/admin put up these unfathomable
polls.
There can be no result, its like the "What browser do you visitors us?". Unless you
only had 1 visitor of course...
Even more preposterous was the "Is Rappy a treible person?", nevermind the obvious answer, but whats treible?
