Who's You Top 3 Favouite Artists Or Bands?

Howdy music lovers,seeing as we are from all over the world here i thought it might be interesting to see how different our tastes in music really are. :)

So tell me your 3 favourite bands or artist of all time.Thinking of mine now makes me see how difficult it is for me to narrow it down to just 3....I have around 1500 cd&#39;s so just picking 3 favs is quite tricky. <_<

Mine in order are:

3.Oasis
2.Nirvana
1.Foo Fighters

Have left so many great bands out of my collection as just choosing 3 is tough...Whats Yours?

choosing 3 is so hard, there are so many bands out there, i could so easly do it for say top 10 bands....


well here goes:

1: Rhapsody

But im gonna give it a go:


For artist:

1. Roger Waters (ex-Pink Floyd)
2. Steve Vai (thats Doctor Steve Vai)
3. Brian Setzer (the REAL guitar slinger)

For bands:

1. Dream Teater (these guys know how to play)
2. Van Halen (for happy attitude)
3. HIM (His Infernal Majesty)

This is the list at the moment, it chances every minute or so, as i start to remember more cool bands and artists... :lol:

Mine can waver quite dramatically, depending on what kind of mood I&#39;m in, or if I&#39;ve been listening to one particular genre a lot lately -- recently I went from listening to a lot of hip hop (particularly Gravediggaz and Public Enemy) to listening to a lot of Classical (mainly Chopin and Beethoven)....the past couple of days I&#39;ve downloaded 6 donovan albums and I&#39;ve been listening to THAT a lot now :)

But if I was forced into it, I would probably choose thus: (no real order)

pink floyd / syd barrett
public enemy / chuck D
chopin

As I&#39;m a 45 year-old git now,I tend to listen to slightly more mellow stuff these days such as:

At different life stages, there have been different bands soooooo

Stage 1..... Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, ACDC

Stage 2..... Pink Floyd, Hawkwind, Gong

Stage 3......Pink Floyd, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana

Stage 4......Pink Floyd, Coldplay, Moby

As you can see, I have been a constant pinky, tho I admit up until the Wall...later albums just dont do it for me like the old ones. Dave Gilmour has more soul in one note than Steve Vai in 147(sorry peeps). Skill needs soul.

Still, I also love Jazz...Sinatra, Ella Fitgerald, Classical....Bach, Tchaikovski (power man) and Holst (power and beauty) erm......oh boy.....this is loads more than 3 and I am still thinking.....pass the doob someone.....arrrrggghhhhhhhh

I guess I am just a headbanger, hippy, rock chick with a love of the psychadelic and owt wiered........Anyone who knows what my icon is from will know what I mean&#33; LONG DIE KAI&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;

old Metallica,stuff like master of puppets, the last 4 albums are the worst pieces of garbage that has spewed out of that band. Hey Lars, your sagging records sales are because you guys now suck ass, not because of napster and other p2p programs. If I really like the album I will still buy the cd for the perfect quality but not just for 1 song.
