Ok Ok....I am not getting shitty here !!
Why the feck am I called a "NEWCOMER" now ?
8 weeks here and I have this new label hanging off my arse.
I feel settled in here lol ... so not new at all..
You could have had a poll for us newbies to at least have our say ?
So if I dont post very much say in a full year I am still classed as a
Newcomer ?
Or am I reading the script wrong ?
I wonder if post whores will be renamed "arseholes"

Alan mate, there has been at least 2 threads in other parts of the forum for members to contribute their ideas. I tend to go with the quality not quantity idea, you could have 500 posts, be a board god/goddess yet still not have that much to contribute.
If you don't like your member title, change it...
posts in the lounge don't count toward your total. Try helping people with problems than just lounging.
I don't think that post whores are "arsholes". Most of them help people. there count would probably be much lower if half of there posts weren't just spam.
You could always post verifieds, and build up your post replying to morons. I don't recommend replying to them, because it will teach them that there question is stupid, and they should read.
I think I do contribute and not just in the "lounge"
I have seen some ppl boast the fact they are no longer newbies
and posted a pile of boll x to gain stars..
I love this place ;) I just feel maybe after an initial period on here your
not classed as a newcomer because you havent gone post crazy..
Maybe there should be a "regular" status

hey alan, i think the reasoning behind it was to get rid of the n00b stigma.
it was decreed that newcomer sounded better than newbie, so it was changed. Also, all the other levels were got rid of...just member/snr member left
