You or the computer?
me, should have never opened my computer case :(
Mine has been open for almost 2 years. I even disconnected the case fan using only the cpu fan.
according to your specs, maybe you should do if youre about doing something big or playing for a long hours.Quote:

Also watch out for bird shit
and cigarette smoke, it damages computer parts
But crack smoke is OK.
Why u want it open are temps that bad
I remember when I first built my PC...my idle temps were like 31...seems like my computer has gotten hotter then it did when i first got it. Even at stock speeds its like 37 idle. Like 43 idle with the overclock...just thought id say that.. :frusty: haha
One time clocker told me..i think it was him.. that really your case should cool better with the side on, because it gives the airflow like a path of something...that is of course if you have case fans and such.
your right it does cool better cos air in focused into the case and not out the side.
I don't agree, I think if you take the case off it would be cooler, because more heat would be able to radiate away..
Butif u have a exhaust and intake fan it would be cooler was on mine i tested. With intake and exhaust off with case side off its warmer than having fans on.Quote:

No-one said anything about turning the fans off.
My mobo temp drops about 5C with the side off.
Well i just tested it with side off and fansstill on and it still gets warmer for me i prefer side on. Depends on type of case suppose
What about noise. I can't believe that nobody mentioned that it will be louder with the sidepanel off.
great point it would be awful for meQuote:

I guess not. I just dident want my computer to blow up (a.k.a get alot of dust in it) one day or sumthing.

my pal's cat unfortunately gets too interested in my pc when the side is off, toasted kitty would be bad
I have had the side of mine for almost a year, no probs but the thing gets very dusty :(

The average open pc case would be an irresistable temptation to my 10 yr. old son..He would be more than happy to rewire or Mod it for me(scary thought)..He's dying to build a PC with me (maybe xmas) :o

That's bad man, your CPU is actually cooking. Not to mention your poor HD's....

it's safe. but soon, there'll be an invasion of the crazy dust bunnies and their homies:lol:
 do you think i should change my case? i think the fan speed is quite fast enough (i think so). doesnt mention to that Fan02 since its unstable. becoz of over heat i always open the case. but make the dusts and dirts coming in. even yesterday my brother spilled his coffee just near that case. so whats the case should i get?
AMD Barton/Athlon XP 2500++
2x256mb 266Mhz
20gb+40gb Hdd
Radeon 9600xt 256mb
