hey all,
i have been having this problem with the icons from msn messenger 6.2 and K-lite 2.6. the problems are highlighted in red. is there any way i can get the originals back. cheers for any help.

try deleting your shelliconcache in c:\windows
(need to show all files in folder options/view)
or start up in safe mode (this does the above auto) and see if the prob is still there
i see nothing in c:\windows called shelliconcache. can you give a bit more info please. ;)
in the folder options you have to have show all files to see it.

in xp isnt it in docs n settings/username/local settings/application data then called iconcache? again hidden?
i tried deleting iconcache from the application data folder, no luck. i installed stardock icon packager to repair and rebuild the cache and still no luck. is there anything else i can do,

yes i have, about 100 times :lol:

yes i have done it in safe and normal mode. also after i deleted iconcache from the application data folder it does'nt come back after i reboot
are these the only two apps with broken icons?
have you tried reinstalling them?
just curious, have you tried updating your video drivers
yes k-lite and msn are the only apps with corrupt icons. i have reinstalled both applications and still the problem exists. can the programs be interfering with eachother?
and yes i have the latest drivers for my graphics card :helpsmile:
