Which FTP client

I am new to this ftp lark, kinda, can anyone recommend a good ftp client please, and tell me why using a browser is not recommended?

a good FTP client is CUTE FTP....dat's wat i use...and trust me dis program is pretty good!

SmartFTP and/or FlashFXP.

I use Cute FTP. I've used Leech FTP before. There isn't too much difference between the two though, but cute FTP looks pretty good and does the job :)

http://aceftp.com , the best ftp program i have used. You can also use a serial on it after the trial.

I prefer the FTP client that comes with Dreamweaver. I love it, its so simple and easy. But yet it does what is required. But if you dont have Dreamweaver, you can get Cute FTP which alot of people use, but it confuses me.

i use WS_FTP LE 6.0 its free and good

I use different ones just because I have differnt computers I use all the time, I use mostly WSFTP Pro, or filezilla. Or just plain IE is good for me.
