You find a wallet with 1000 dollar.....

In the wallet is the adress of the owner.

Good citizen as you are you decide to give it back.

Once you approach the adress, it seems the owner of the wallet lives in

a very big mansion with several expensive cars parked at the side.

What do you do??

A few years back when life was hard(er)
found a Wallet on the street - FILLED with french francs, & Local Currency - around 400 dollars) worth....and a Plane ticket to....France in 5days time- plus ID etc - it was a womans.

Showed it to my girlfriend - we decided to keep the cash
we called the woman - met her on the street gave the wallet back without the cash -(but with the tiket, ID, Visa etc) she was Sorta grateful.

We went on a brilliant vacation afterwards.

i dont really feel bad about it - atleast gave back her essencials -

and Yes

i have Lost\been Robbed\Broken into for ALOT more than that and had nothing returned.

Am I 50% Saint?

i would keep it and celebrate

i'd give it back. once back in the day when i delivered papers, ~7years ago, i found a pound outside the police station, i handed it in cos i thought it was some sort of entrapment sting. looking back i didnt ever go to claim it back from them.

Well if you went to claim it now it should have increased in rent quite a bit
