I've hooked up two mice to my computer before, and then both mice move the same cursor. Pretty useless.
Is there any way, or program, to make two cursors so one mouse controls one cursor and another mouse controls another cursor?

Wow are you so good and ambidextrous that you could handle two cursors???!!!
The only thing i could imagine be able to work that -
is some kind of split screen system
or
making the usb ports seperate from each other -cause if you put in 2 mouse it only recognizes the first one.
or
something like two Seperate entire Windows running at the same time (in split screen)
i have no clue - post if you find a solution
you could use it to seriously show off! it would be soo cool :)
not possible afaik
Rossco mabye not such a crazy idea! :D

What controls the cursor? How to make windows seperate 2 mice+usb ports?
On a Laptop- it recognizes the mouse and the mouse pady thing at the same time... thats one step

I like the idea of gloves as mice !
I know it's kinda useless but just wanted to know how to do it. lol.
I have lots of mice. I can plug in a ps2 or serial one, start computer, then plug in usb one and then both of them control the one cursor. I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard to make a second cursor for one of the mice.
Peat, im reading your link now. :)
I expect a working example in my PM box tomorrow :PQuote:

Also the usb has 5 buttons so i use it with some games. Problem is that they both move the same cursor on the screen. I hooked up 4 mice to an iMac once but you still have the same problem. I remember watching a tv show a long time ago (possibly win 95/98 days) where they did this. They had 3 mice and 3 different cursors on the screen. I bet you can still find a program to do this but im not sure what you can do with it. Only one app can be in focus at a time.
But I hooked up 2 joysticks to my computer before. Mechwarror was really really fun with it.
edit: did you try google? http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...e+mice+windows
i have 2 mouses too my foot clicks and my hand moves

nope the site says to download the "ordinary" file then run the program within but they're all .rc files or have no extension at all. :blink:Quote:

ya but when im installing it asks for a .sys file, and the driver didn't come with any .sys files (it wants cpnmouse.sys).
I did have cpnmouse.rc though, so i renamed it, but then the driver install fails. :(
Download the driver binaries here .
Going to bed now. I'll look in tomorrow and try and help you out if you're still stuck.
Good luck!
ah ok the binaries were what i wanted, lol.
thanks for your help, let you know when i've got it all setup how it went. :)
edit: with the ordinary-binary program running I get it to have two cursors...the wireless mouse will move it's own cursor which is the regular windows one. the second mouse(that i installed driver for) will move it's own cursor as well as te regular cursor. so this isn't working out to well.
there is nothing to configure either.
i guess im missing something.
here it works with bugs seeQuote:

Btw Rossco, You missed installing cpndriver for both HID's(mouses) and having run the ordinary cpn application, I've got a compaq ps/2 mouse on a cpn ps/2 driver and a Diablo Mouse Manta Model:MM731 on a cpn usb driver. I got bugs but it's working. I had the unknown device problem when istalling the MM731, i fixed it as it should be done with adding the registery to the driver information file.
