Those bar-stewards nearly caught me too!
:01: Fireworks are cool :D
Altho I don't agree with them being on sale to anyone over 18, it's no different from selling bombs
Jonno
Well, im glad you didnt spoil the Bonfire thats being prepared there by some other kids..
Very civilised of you ;)
/me can't hear for all the hedgehogs i'm throwing into the pile of wood
Roasted Hedgehog...
Nothing quite says "Guyfawkes" like Roasted Hedgehog...
Yummy
It's the dishwasher and the vauxhall nova which I'm not too sure will burn well!
Nova's burn very well
You can't burn a vaxhall nova, some newly test passed boy racer will want that to put 5 grands worth of stereo in and sit on a carpark somewhere.........you could save yourself some money Bo :P
Jonno
I'm buying a mondeo actually, cawk
Was there Wiccans at work to make the Police and Fire Brigade disappear?:unsure:Quote:

Just out of interest, who's paying the insurance on this mondeo, cos you can't tell me it's under a grand for you
Jonno
Well, it is from the Scrapyard
And the fine is less than the Insurance.... I'd be very surprised if he bothered with that, MOT or Tax ;)
Actually, i'd be surprised if he has a license
I think I'll just be suprised :)
Jonno
Ahh bonfire night.... one of the better nights out in the Uk.... from the time i was there i have very fond memories of lewes, East sussex, and the parades before the various displays. Bonfires as big as st. pauls cathedral, and every year some drunk idiot believing he could light his cigarette from it. Then the displays, most of them free to watch and of the highest standard from incredibly talented pyrotech type people whilst eating the greasiest burgers or hot dogs (not like the ones we get here...english pork sausages are used) and a portion of chips (fries to americans...but not those thin things we get..chunky chips) :P
We have the 4th july with fireworks freely and cheeply available but i have to say that Lewes is a shining example of how it should be done.
The insurance on ANY car for someone my age will cost about £1500, and that's for a shite car, I can get this 2l mondeo and pay probably about £1700 insurance for it. Ironically, the fine IS cheaper than the insurance!
Even more annoying is the fact that the insurance will be worth more than the car itself!
(And yes, I'm paying for it all myself thanks.)
Oooooooo tetchy
Sorry Bo but you my mates g/f's lad is 17 and just passed his test, he's got an escort 1300 , paid £400 for the car and £800 tpft :)
Modeo's are highly sort after buy thiefs, which is why the insurence is higher, they also a bit pokey too, but it's your money, go for it, nice car :) very comfortable :)
Jonno
One of my mate's bought a 995cc K reg Nova, cost about £50, cost £1400 to insure;)
EDIT: And that's just 3rd party!
who's going to steal a car that's on fire?
Wrong insurance company, simple as that :)
My bike is gonna cost me £139 tpft when I put it back on the road, that's with Bennets Bike insurance, with Norwich Union it would cost £428 tpft, same policy, different company, £300 better off :)
It's really worth spending £10 on phone call, swill save you a fortune, and fight them against each other, tell 1 company the other one said £xxx, then when they offer less, go back to the other company, honestly most will move on their price to get the deal, the guys on the phone are usually on comission so they have a percentage to play with :)
Jonno
I know exactly how it all works, gone through it all before with my brother when he bought his first car (has about 7 or 8 since).
Wow, i feel lucky with £300 Fully Comp with Protected No Claims :P
And that includes AA cover
Just trying to help dude :)
I been playing off insurance companies for 10 years and it's much more tricky when bike's are concerned
Mind you, prolly partly to do with where you live :)
Jonno
That's because you're old, I'm young therefore get fucked over at every cornerQuote:

Oh man stop moaning, shit you're a lot better off now, there's young driver policies and stuff, I never had any of that and when I was your age I only got £50 per week for 45 hours and before anyone says, that's only 9 years ago, I might as well have gone down the mines :(
Jonno
Shop around Bo... shop around.
My Quotes this year ranged from £305 (which i have) to £850
Surprisingly, if i'd gotten the tpft, it was more expensive.... which is ONLY reason i have Fully Comp

@Bo...........Whoa no, don't get me started on that, all them students that don't pay tax and get intrest free loans while someone the same age gas to pay full everything, you don't do quite as bad as you think, I don't think the driving age should be 17, I think it should be 21 :)
Jonno
You dont have to pay taxes, bloody walk home.:blink:Quote:

P38?........That's fibreglass filler
:P
@MJPF.......I think standard rate of tax free earnings is £4880 atm, then 10% on the next £1800, then 22% upto 27 grand, then 42% on everything over that :)
Jonno
That's better than I'd have done from memory. JP provided a link for the exact amounts.Quote:
