Bt, Mirc
You need a bit of patience with eMule.
I dont want to leave the computer on 24/7 with kazaa i could pause all downloads and turn the computer of.
And then continue downloading the next day
Then, use Kazaa if it works so great.Quote:

I shut off any p2p app if I need the resources.
And, like punch of other p2p apps,
you most likely need to share also.
You share (upload) as much as download or more, the better,
then you have a better chance getting stuff off eMule.
In fact, I think eMule is built that way to slow down leeching somewhat.
:cool2:
OK what is your highest download speed then till now on??Quote:

Razorback or ProbenPrinz.de is the servers I conncet to most. And Kad network.
I use the search to find the files, or links on the net.
After you got the link on eMule, it dont matter what server you're on,
it should not affect how fast you get the file.
There's also the friends-system you might take a look onto, some forums, or nationalities,
have tags on usernames which are used for like an ID's, sort of.
Kinda like community tags.
For speeds, my ratio is about 8:35 to 1 , meaning, every 1 MB i've downed, I've upped 8.35
Its ok by me, I get the more rare files thats on eMule.
And the better the ratio, the better the DL speeds suppose to be,
Im not 100% sure of all the details about it, but I can live with it.
I just leave the app on over nights. Its not like im breaking a sweat for it.
If you run the app, start watching how DL/UL goes it might drive you
slightly mad, he he...
It's not the fastest possible way to get files, but there's a lot of more rare files in there.
I've had my DL-speeds almost maxed up, like about 90% with some files,
but it doesnt really bother me if I get the file at 3kb long as i get the file.
:cool2:
Oh yeah, you can shut down the PC, but the eMule will be off the net too, naturally.
It will continue where you left when you start the eMule again.
You have a good server for games??
And how do i get a fucking avatar for this forum they are all to big.
dont yah know how to fucking resize an image?
I normal don't have to do that because at other forums it goes automatic.
I dunno about what server has what content.
Razorback has a lot of users, ie: potentially more files.
And, I would use torrent sites for games.
torrents sites ???
how does that work??
Sorry but this all new to me.
And why are my uploads much higher then my downloads, my grandma could follow this :D
Look for Bittorrent section in these forums.
Read the guide.
If you're only into new games, thats the way to go for you.
:cool2:
Thanks and what about my upload speed higher then my downloadspeed?
What about it?Quote:

On eMule my upload is usually close to max because I got files ppl want
and I'dlike to share them also.
I got max 5 files downloading usually, or sometimes just 1.
It all depends on various things, like, whats you UL/DL speed given from your ISP,
the speeds on the other users whom you DL or UL from/to.
And some other stuff I probably forget now...
I suggest you take some time read on those Guides, see what ppl been talkin' about,
and hopefully things starts to make more sense.
:D
Oh yeah, my DL speed is 1MB, up goes 256.
But what with the way eMule works, I still Upload more than download.
On torrents I keep 'em alive to get 1:1 ratio, atleast.
Its good to share, thats the way things work.
Ok then thanks!!!

There's tons of info in here, but not limited to here only.
:D
Google is good tool.
Most programs has their own Forums for more detailed info,
all thought we got stuff pretty well covered in here too,
nice guides.
Bittorrent for Large and New files, (games & movies)
Soulseek for Music (full albums)
eMule for everything else (older and more rare stuff)
Thats the way I do this.
With eMule you can download almost everything, old and brandnew. It might seem slow, but if you run it 24/7 it can download several gigabytes a day. That's more movies and music than you can watch and listen.
BitTorrent has higher top-speeds, but is limited in the amount of files that are available.
Newsgroups give the best speeds, but their availability depends on your ISP. It's also a bit more difficult to use.
aS Bawa said , try BitTornado or mIRC, if you have a good internet connection.Quote:

That way, if you can't find what you want on one, you can try other places.
However, sharing is the key, always share then we can all get files. :)
