'American Pie 4' is on the fast track to production, with principal photography slated to begin this September under the guidance of director Steve Rash, best known as the helmer of the 1980s teen hit "Can't Buy Me Love." The script, from first time screenwriter Brad Riddell, does not appear to feature any of the major characters.
This time around, the focus will be on Matt Stifler, younger brother of Steve Stifler, as Matt is sent to band camp for the summer when he faces expulsion from school. At first, Matt will attempt to wire the camp with hidden cameras to turn it into the set for his own "Girls Gone Wild"-type video, but when he falls for fellow campie Elyse, his efforts to stifle his Stiffmeister ways will surely meet with hilarious results. Eli Marienthal, the young actor who portrayed Stifler's unnamed younger brother in the first two films, does not appear to be returning to the role at this time.

stifler was the only reason part 3 was funny ;)

but will watch and see anyway

i just hope they don't mess up...

i liked all the other parts... but now it looks like they're just trying to get even more milk out of the cow...

if they are changing the story and characters, it would have been better to change the title too...

Shit, and the Harry Potter series is labelled a cash-cow.
My guess it'll be more of the same, only even less funny than the wedding for those of us that started getting tired of teen comedies after Porky's 2 and Lemon Popsicle.
I bet my kids'll wanna see it, though.

Eurotrip's direness springs to mind.

Oh and btw, why was Kevin in American Wedding...he only spoke 3 times in the whole movie and he looked really out of place...and American Wedding was more of a Romantic Comedy...the new American Pie is looking like a pre-teen comedy...i have a feeling it's gonna be a disaster...

I like the comedy of this kind.

Hah! I thought Eurotrip was alright. Vinny made me laugh a few times, I think. Dawn was hot.

I can't remember whether I thought the film rawked or if it was just Matt Damon jumping around to a quality bit of poppy punk :01:

True; I suppose I can't call a movie crap when it hasn't even produced yet lol.

But what I'm getting at American Pie 1, 2 & 3 were all hugely popular movies, And anyone who enjoyed these kind of movies 99% of the time was down to good casting, they all seemed to click and a full recast can't be good as people will expect more of the same from what 1,2 & 3 gave.

They might aswell change the name so if it is a flop it doesn't ruin American Pie as a whole.

if you give it a name that has a reputation of a good comedy more people will see it that means more money for them.... ;)

that sux, they should let it end with 3, that was a good/funny movie, this one is like porky's revisited or some shit to that effect.

i loved them too... but this one has none of the original actors (as IKE said before), and its about stifler's brother... so IF stifler appears in the movie, its probably gonna be some other actor playing his role....

but who knows... its not even made yet... maybe it will be a nice movie...
