Copying a dvd with 20 songs on it?
Re: problem with dvd shrink
That's not the intended purpose of DVD Shrink. It's for movies.
Re: problem with dvd shrink
really? so what program is good for copying protected dvds?

I would like to know what protected DVD has only 20 songs. Is that an original manufactured disk?
It sounds more like a CD to me. DVDs would have way more than 20 songs because of their large storage capacity.
Re: problem with dvd shrink
You gotta be talkin bout a CD right? Not a DVD?
Re: problem with dvd shrink
i am talking about music dvd, not CD. i just tried to use dvd decrypter, but the shrinked file is too big for a dvd. if dvd shrink is for movie. the shrinked file from dvd decrypter is too big. then what should i do? please help.
Re: problem with dvd shrink
If you have dual layer DVD Audio I think your gonna have to rip it if you dont have dual layer writer. I might suggest trying DrDivX as a starting point and then perhaps trying AG in XviD although if its only audio I guess youde use a regular mp3 ripper or something like lossless although Im not sure what program will shrink audio from DVD9 to DVD5 though...
Re: problem with dvd shrink
Maybe if you were more specific about what music "DVD" it is, we could be of more assistance. (and understand more)

As you can see, I already asked that.

I know, but he still isn't answering
Third times the charm? :)
WHATS THE NAME OF THE DISC??
Re: problem with dvd shrink
4.7Gigs ÷ 20songs = .235gigs per song. About 235megs each song? Wow!
I wonder if they are mp3s?
Re: problem with dvd shrink
anyone one else think he means music videos instead of just the sound. i have plenty of music dvds and i normally back them up with dvd shrink. 230 megs a video sounds about right for mpeg2 video.
when you say there is only a few songs do you mean that there are only 3 or 4 vob files. if that is the case there are lots of songs held in each file. you can pick and choose which ones you like or backup the whole disk using dvd shrink.

I'm at a loss as why dvdshrink doesn't work, sounds like the most common computer problem.

Re: problem with dvd shrink
clonedvd won't work bcuz the dvd is copyright protected.
Re: problem with dvd shrink
Extract the DVD with DVDDecrypter to your hard drive then try DVD Shrink. If that doesn't work then try Clone DVD using the hard drive files as the source.
