i was thinking about getting a gamecube and was wondering if it would be a good idea to get one with a modchip?
also, how hard is it to download and burn games, do i need specific software, cds or anything else that may make this harder then just paying for games
Gamecubes dont have modchips. You can only emulated them on your pc. Or FTP them to your GC but that takes alot of work.
If you want to get a modded system, get an xbox or ps2.
i already have a ps2, i tried modding it but it didnt work

lately i feel gamecube reigns supreme in overall gaming and that is what im looking into, i just though it would be nice to beable to burn games but thats ok
but maybe somebody could direct me to a new and easily add chip for my ps2?

It doesnt require you to open your system either.
GC is very close to getting a modchip, with in next month.

Sounds like its extremely easy to install. I cant wait. Maybe my GC will get some use.
But for swap magic, you need to trick your PS2 into thinking that the CD tray is closed, correct?

whats wrong with kids today? you say its about the gameplay yet you aren't willing to pay. i understand not paying for lame sequals and cash-ins but most of them are multi-format anyway. GC games start at £10 pre-owned where i live, and £15-20 for old and gamer's choice :unsure:
I had a gamecube since release up intill about 6 months ago, worse gaming chouice i made geting one IMO. Mainly becuase Xbox is cheaper (free games) Ninendo had there 5 good agmes but no other 3rd party games and Xbox is getting Perfect dark 2 :01:
