does this mean they fixed that god awful memory leak that always consumed all available memory after a few hours.

that wasnt a problem for me for a few versions, but back in the day it did often use >250MB RAM

thank god for that.
soulseek seems a really good program. I have often found rare tracks there but i could never leave it on long enough to get to the front of peoples lines to actually download anything.

it sux I had to go back to 154 test J it takes up at times 100% of my CPU especially when someone browse your files the test is More stable then the surprisingly stable version

just set the cpu prority of the slsk to low. you will never notice its actually using all your cpu.

do people still use slsk?

I do. I think it's by far the best program out there outside of torrents

of course its the best program for full albums torrents really are only for new releases that goes for IRC too you know wome people do want albums before the year 2004

I think ive downloaded like 2000 albums on ss in nearly 2 years 6 months of that 2 years was on 56k

Maybe my soulseek wont crash after I have it up for more than an hour.

No, I have been using the same firewall, and anyways Soulseek is allowed to access the internet in it. It only stopped working when I installed the new soulseek.. :( Help.

gave 155 another chance still fucked up ram problems lag and when flicking form transfer to the room tab it lags like hell ss goes all white back to 154jest again

yeah the first "stable" version of 155 was kinda goofy
but with the updates it seems to keep getting smoother

i got a queue longer than john holmes' wang...
and it still switches windows smooth and all that other good shit :P

this week in particular seems to have been bad about server disconnects
they must be doing some maintenance or somethin

Well suddenly as of the last few days my 154j is a crash hog almost every few hours.
Also the server has ben out quite a bit within the last couple od days...
