Did you donate for the Tsunami-victims??
Will or did you?
And how much??
And in what way??(direct moneytransfer or by buying tickets for the
Annual Jewish Transsexual Funny Fair or sending leftovers from christmas
or....)
Yonami
Btw. I didn't and i won't.
Wouldn't know where to find a spot in my (non-)budget.

No.
Haven't really had the opportunity and sending 50p over t'internet seems a bit overkill.
-
Re: Did you donate for the Tsunami-victims??
Nope and won't and it has nothing to do with budget.

Re: Did you donate for the Tsunami-victims??
I gave my spare change to a tramp last night. Not sure if that counts but that's the only charitable thing I've done this year.
Might donate a bit when I get my student loan but money is tight and beer don't buy itself.
-
Re: Did you donate for the Tsunami-victims??
I put a donation box on the counter at work and put £10 in, I wish I could do more but atm that's the best I can do :(

Can too.
Just take your cue from hollywood and donate an embarrassingly low fraction of your weekly income to make yourself look good. :01:
-
Re: Did you donate for the Tsunami-victims??
The lot of you need to cut the shit.
Everyone is able to donate. You don't because other things take priority.
Beer, a new video game, eating out, prostitutes, whatever the case may be.
The point is if you put some of that on the back burner, you could spare $10, $5, or even $1 dollar.
The point is you don't want to...so cut the "I can't" bullshit.
If you really want to donate, focus on the how and not the why not.
The feelgood words mean shit when coupled with inaction.
:shit:

I hate that.
The donation is good but why yell about it?
edit: I take that back.
Being rich and donating kept Winona Ryder (among others) out of jail while folks less fortunate and poor, unable to donate, get jail time.
So uh...way to go.

Re: Did you donate for the Tsunami-victims??
Are you going to give your reason for not donating Busyman or are you going to STFU?
-
Re: Did you donate for the Tsunami-victims??
if i could afford all the games i want, a decent pc, a bike, food, board and all the other stuff i want and had money spare i would donate to a charity i can trust.
you gots to look after number one

Read up on Winona Ryder and her run in with the law, then come back.
-
Re: Did you donate for the Tsunami-victims??
wtf has it got to do with Winona Ryder?
We're talking about giving a few quid to help the millions of people who have just had everything they know and loved wiped out

No, that's not it at all. I've got $0.88 in my bank account, and about 12 hours to come up with $1000.
Some of us aren't worried about beer and video games, but where we're going to be living come the weekend.

Apparently busty read the words 'charity' and 'donation' in winona's punishment for theft and by some miracle thinks it's completely relevant to the current situation.
Either that or he's just rambling bollocks as usual.

Sharon Osbourne is so moved by the plight of the Asian tsunami disaster victims - she has pledged a donation of $190,000. The judge on British TV talent show X Factor initially donated $47,500, but decided to give more after watching endless "heartbreaking" news reports Osbourne, who earned $13.3 million in 2004, says, "There are really no words to describe how devastated we are to see this unfold. This is just heartbreaking - donating money is the least we can do. We have been watching all the terrible news coverage and we wanted to give some more money. Our hearts go out to all those affected."
Read the news.
Then come back. :)

Re: Did you donate for the Tsunami-victims??
I've gave directly, and probably indirectly as I have money going to Oxfam every month anyway from my salary.
How much I gave, is a matter for my consiance, and is nowt to do with anyone else. Its not a "Race" to see who can and will give the most.
Many people here and elsewhere have gave and really shouldnt have, due to their own circumstances..
Well, all crudas to those people, no matter how small their donations...
They are the real hero's. Not the multi-millionaire that gives $47,000 as a tax loss, but the guy that doesnt know where his next meal is coming from, that puts 50p in a bucket.
Saying that... giving money that you dont have, or need in order to feed or house your family... well that would be just silly, wouldnt it.

I have no problem with others who either cannot, or choose not to donate to charity. It is matter for the individual. However, in my experience it does your karma no end of good.
My sentiments exactly.
I always say that if you want to do something, you find a way. If your children are starving, you find a way. Even with no money.
I understand that one must take care of one's self first in order to take care of others. Being highly motivated, I hate when people say they can't do something that they are in control of.
I simply say I don't want to do it.
By saying I can't, but want to is utterly depressing and full of crapshitpiss.
If you want to do it, then do it or STFU!!!
I personally have other things to take care of.
I give to other charities, and want to put another bathroom in.
Reality.
Feelgoodcraptalk still has crap and talk in it.
