I loved the satanic voice near the end
It's all about how you (personally) articulate the term .swf.
If, in conversation, you would say 'swuf' then you'd need to write; "it's a .swf'
If you would say 'es double-u ef' then write 'it's an .swf'
If you would say 'dot es double-u ef' or 'dot swuf' then type "it's a .swf"
It's really down to the individual in this case - to correct anyone would be to grammaticast, imo.
It's an .swf
So are you saying that appending the indefinite article is a must in this case - or is that merely your personal choice.Quote:

This succession of posts was brought to you by MC manker, breaking down grammar for teh fst massiiiive :cool2:
A swuf? No... no.... it's an swf. Just like mp3 is mp3, not empathy.Quote:

For me it's an hotel. For Dan and Gemby too 'cause they're Cockney sparras.
I don't think Mary was following me. Lots of people articulate a .swf file as a 'swuf'.
A hotel.
An .swf
An .MP3
just my IMO. ;)
capitalizing the second my was unnecessary.Quote:

When angling for a big fish - carp - they're often more tricky to hook than the smaller ones. A bit more wily.
So you have to present the bait in such a way that their sensitive mouths cannot detect any hookage. A way to do this is to superglue a hair between the hook and the bait, which for this method, has to be a boilie.
After the carp decides that the bait is safe, it sucks it into it's mouth with t'hook close behind. Then it's time to strike.

Well, I'm guessing you'da bumped the thread that callous bastard Bo, bumped.
It wouldn't have been your fault tho', you'd not have known better, being new and all.
Bizes 2 fois from the Left Bank; now before any further word from me, I'd be most grateful for any advice from seasoned buccaneers of media entertainment on what NOT to say or ask on this site (apart from the obvious things like Cheney's head on a platter).
Thank you for any guidance to steer a novice away from trouble.
But more important - where are the friggin' movies?
why can i not read a web page that i read 2 days ago
